What Happened To Yoo Ah-in? | Is It Crossing The Line?

Yoo Ah-in was one of the top actors in South Korea, but now he is one of the most hated man in Korea. I wanted to talk about this as it's just getting out of hand, how people are treating him. Yesterday, when he was leaving court, a man threw a bundle of cash at him, stating, "Use it for your inmate fund." The situation follows an incident this past May when Yoo Ah In was hit by a bottle of coffee on his way home from the court. Here is the story of Yoo Ah-in.

This is so very sad. If he is an addict he deserves treatment. He should not lose his entire career. Come to the US, get the help you need. In the US, after a second chance we turn former addicts to Iron Man.

He still has my love and admiration. We, humans, are entitled to make mistakes and learn to mend our ways. I don't know why this love-hate Korean culture is prevalent in today's society. If he has an addiction, then he must be treated medically and psychologically mentored not physically abused and brutalized. Oh well, society is so fickle and judgemental, we love deeply and hate with equivocal force. Such a shame. May this young man find grace and rise up again.

There too many cases similar to this, that shows what is the real culture in south Korea. They are really spiteful towards each other and use any excuse such as seniority in age or start of career to bully others. Therefore they wouldn't of course miss this chance to bully a famous person, because a lot of them are burning from envy to their core. No where else in the world people treat somebody like this only because of addiction and also no where would a person lose everything only because of falling in the trap of addiction.

Marijuana is also classed as medicinal herb, a relaxants, cancer patients uses it. besides cocain or profol, hope he gets the right treatment he needs, but in no way should he be treated the way he has been from the side-line. totally sad how the public gets away with abuse, he too should be charged which Yo Ah In has the right to.

What a warped society! Is it anybody’s business if a person takes drugs that only harm himself. He’s probably one of the most impressive actors in Korea, it’s an absolute shame how Korean society treats their celebrities and ruins their careers. I hope he gets the professional help and support he needs to return to full health in mind and body. To give him the strength if he wants go back into the career he has chosen, or to take time to live a more less challenging and stressful life. No one has the right to judge. Yoo Ah In has hurt himself. It's easy to kick someone when they are down. I hope he can also ask for and accept help. The Court is wiser vthan the police and those who are fishing YAI out with such a stupid bate. The authorities are crossing the line and this has allowed the general public to cross the line too. All those who have been hthrowing things at him should be charged, this is human right abuse and bullying. YAI is a good guy, handsome and gentle more dignified than them. He is sick of tumour in the bone, shoulder injuries and insomnia and he needs treatment. Why do you think the Court is refusing to grant the warrant? because you can't use someone's medical records to track him down. If they take 1000 people to the lab for testing 999 of them you will life illigal substance in their hair or blood because we all react to Kimchi differently. This is my own statistics. They are now exaggerati g and increasing the number of drugs he is using to make sure they convict him. This is too wrong. Koreans endorse hypocrites and hypocrisy. Korea is weird af. R4pists and murderers are being protected and get short sentence. While yoo ah in just take some drugs/smoking and people start treating him like he made big crime such as murder or beat up someone. He should get a treatment or rehab.

Yoo Ah-in does not deserve any of the treatment he got. The person who threw coffee on him would have been arrested for assault in the US, and Yoo Ah-in would just enter treatment. He harmed no one and was not selling or distributing to people on the street. The person who threw cash just embarrassed himself/herself. I went through a short phase of needing pain medication after a car accident required me to have 7 spinal surgeries. I recovered, but I will tell you that needing to use medication and being dependent on it is not the same as addiction; however, it alters your brain chemistry over time. I am a nurse, and I have studied this and have seen it time and again. I wish he could go somewhere to get any help needed and begin his career elsewhere. He's such a great actor, I believe he would be successful almost anywhere in the world. I'm so sorry to hear all of this has happened to him. Really heartbroken over all of the hatred mankind has churned up over the last several years, especially after CoVid and lockdowns. People used medications or illicit substances to escape during that time; it was like this where I live at least. Things haven't gone back to normal yet, and it is now 2024. Things are, in fact, worse. One last thing: What happened to the doctors who were prescribing medications such as propofol (this is what killed Michael Jackson)? He/she is the one who should be prosecuted or whatever the law is in Korea, but ruining someone's life because they used drugs to escape and then needed them to cope was probably doing just that - trying to cope. We don't know what others are going through. Quite disheartening and saddened to hear all of this. A physician I worked closely with once told me that I would not believe how many people are addicted to most anything, even over-the-counter medications like Pepto-Bismol. Korea slams people for this and cancels them, yet they imbibe very consistently and smoke. It's really a double standard. It would take a lot to overcome societal norms though. It's none of my business, but I do NOT understand the rationale in this regard.

Ppl are so judgemental until it happens to them or a loved one. Perhaps, yes he wasn't on the right track. Maybe him getting caught was God's intervention to save him from his own personal demons. Nonetheless, who is anyone to judge him. Rather than judge or punish, why not assist him. Find the reasons and the methods to help him. Not further bury him into despair. He didn't murder anyone. First of all. I personally know Hongsik, and believe me, he's not what he likes people to see him. He's a serious drug addict, and for your information, he's still doing drugs even though he's been investigated along with his junky boyfriend Choi Ha-Neul. He's a liar, and he uses his celebrity status to do what he wants. And one more thing. No one thinks SK celebrities are God's. They think they are God's themselves. This is how screwed up they are. And mostly. He broke several narcotics laws. Tempered with evidence, witness intimidation, and so on. Now, the SK District judge denied the Police his second warrant request for him and Choi arrest. Why's that? Because the judge is currupt and has been bribed by Hongsik legal team. The guy doesn't deserve respect or rehab whatsoever. What he needs is a very lengthy jail time. No matter how the thing will end, I am glad his career is over. He'll soon run out of money, too
