Thanks for all the videos, much appreciated. I spent the last decade in Spanish "exile" with no TV channels available, only ever downloaded the modern stuff on tele but since I am back home in central Europe I love watching all sort of Stargate re-runs. Especially, as I wasn't a fan of Atlantis back then, now with a lot of time passed it's so good and it fills the sci-fi void that modern TV has created unfortunately.

If we take what Dr. Weir said in her last episode of SG-1 about Homeworld Security as true then there was a brief opportunity for Sam and Jack to be together. At the start of season 9, Jack was Head of Homeworld and Sam was at Area 51, Weir said that Homeworld would have the SGC, the off-world sites, the X-303 program (Prometheus), and the Antarctic outpost. No mention of Area 51, so while Same was there she wouldn't be in Jack's chain of command, and Area 51 was in Nevada. What else in Nevada known for, Las Vegas, and what is one of the things people go there for? Weddings once married two officers can get permission to work in the same chain of command. Just saying.

I understand his explanation for Stalker Pete, but I think the problem with it is how it was cut for release. Despite it being "SG-1," it would've been cool to explore the introduction of Pete to the Stargate program from Pete's perspective... It would've also been nice to have Pete appear as a minor character earlier to introduce him and build his character up. All we saw was the "Stalker Pete," not "A guy named Pete who's a detective and miraculously her brother's best friend" :) ---- An idea to re-introduce him in any hypothetical remake: he's investigating a strange disappearance or something involving the Trust and SG-1 is called in. Sam and Pete have an instant connection but overall it's not too deep given the previous relationship dynamic between her and O'Neill. Pete doesn't find about the Stargate program, but his curiosity of the circumstances leads him to pursuing Sam. Then "Stalker Pete" would have a well-built backstory. :)

There's a DEAD giveaway that Sam and Jack were together. When she set up her office in Atlantis, she had a headshot of Jack on her desk or in the room. Kinda odd to have that there. So even before the episode w/ Sam, Rodney, and Jewel (I can only think of Kaylee (sp) from Firefly), we already knew Sam and Jack were together.

@@sparkynm156 They we’re never on-screen together except for the finale of ssn 8, but that was alt timeline. The cabin scene was just SG-1 hanging out. While Jack was a general, he could not be with Sam. But clearly they were as my comment was obvious proof. Why would you have a headshot of your favorite general? Also, I believe in the episode in SG-A, where Sam, Rodney, & Keller(?), fell into the abandoned room, Sam’s relationship status came up. She clearly cannot say who she’s with only that she’s not available.

Jack watches his watch and at the last few seconds, he pulls Sam to Him and leans her way back as he steals a long kiss and Time Resets.. Great Show... I'm watching Urgo right now... Me or Death, Death or Me... Then there is the Alternate Timeline Repair... They find a video tape with themselves on it but their current selves had never joined SG. Later Sam says sheis attracted to Daniel, when Jack made a move on her. Then during the fight to rescue them from Jaffa who are shooting at them... Sam and Jack Make Out Heavily and possibly much more ... I was disturbed by the alternate Universe when Sam is Eviscerated in that alternate plain as Our Sam pops through protected by her Merlin Shield / planer phase shield thinga mabob... We find that she was Married aaaand Divorced from Rodney Macay... Disturbing... lol

Sam came closer than Jack when she went to his cabin ,talking about close the wedding to Peter got the more unsure she was ,then Kerry came out. Think they wanted to be together, but in reality , neither wanted to make the committment.

My problem with "Stalker Pete" wasn't that he looked into Carter's past, but rather how he did it. He was supposed to be a straight arrow type of cop. Using the police resources was an abuse of power that his character would have known was wrong.

The password for Sam's goodbye letters and final wishes is "Fishing" lol they're together. I felt bad for David because initially I liked Pete he made Sam happy and she needed a love life because her and Jack couldn't happen but the writers did him dirty by making him look like a stalker. The relationship was also not made to last in the end it was always going to be Jack and Sam. In my head canon they got together, had a couple kids, Jack retired, became a stay at home Dad so Sam could have a family and not lose her career and Jack got a second chance to be a father.

I actually love Davids Pete Shanahan. He was lovable, almost dorkish at time. I knew they would be going from the get go, because we allready knew where Sams har really belonged too. But Sam needed to be with Pete to really know what we in fans allready knew. Makes any sense? But always felt sorry for the guy that definately was in love with Sam. And yes, just like Amanda had chemistry with RDA? So did She have with David.

I know that there was attraction between Sam and Jack, but I really rooted for Pete Shanahan. Let the really nice guy win!!!! And they had great chemistry. Would have really added an interesting layer to her character. I was never fully sold on Jack and Sam as endgame. It's nice that it happened, but Pete was a great catch. Maybe I just have a thing for the Deluise brothers. Peter was my favorite Jump Street character, not Johnny Depp. LOL

Now wait...that episode 9.13-Ripple Effect, where all the alternate parallel universes kept coming through the gate...Sam kissed Martouf ...and she had made an assumption prior to that after Jack left the team that she was in a relationship. If so, she kissed Martouf while dating Jack. I remember thinking that Jack probably wouldn’t have been happy about that kiss 😂

So even though she in sense herself didnt have those feelings, she still felt them. So I guess that was the exlanation for why she had those feelings towards martouff, and Probably why they also killed him off. They also killed of Narim of the Tollans, probably of the same reasons, to maybe let her to be with Jack. Orin, yeh, he was maybe not that real, they killed that off by making him die and being a kid.

I had never heard of this fan backlash towards Pete. It's really interesting to learn about things like this from the fans. I remember a few years back when I learned about all the hate directed at the actor who played Jonas Quinn because he "replaced" Daniel. It is also quite telling and predictive of future backslashes from so-called fans. Honestly, I find this kind of behavior really pathetic, immature and ignorant! Not to mention toxic, rude and inappropriate! I mean, what kind of an idiot *sshole incessantly & persistently blames an actor for the actions and events which came from writers of a character he/she was very to play?! Really? Are we still in elementary school? Quite frankly, this behavior is embarrassing & shameful! But it actually helps to create the context and to explain the absurdly despicable way that (I would bet) the same individuals railed with such vitriol and so relentlessly against SGU. Whoever these people are, I can not accept them as genuine stargate fans because that is NOT how fans behave! I just hope & pray that these individuals have grow up a bit since then because the LAST thing we need whenever the new Stargate comes out, is to have ignorant, foolish haters blasting baseless criticisms & insults at everyone & everything in the pilot! I've never seen the sexual chemistry between Jack and Sam; no matter how many times I've watched the series, even just finished watching Mobius. It's always felt forced. Sam has better chemistry with Janet, and I only say that half joking. I mostly liked Pete, though they could have done that better if they had bothered to make an actual go of it. The end of Sam and Pete's relationship was so contrived.
