Funny thing i heard that was. Married a malay will becoming a muslim and change into malay. I was like. Hundred of years a go malay are hindu. When the king becoming muslim with all of his people means malay have becoming more malay???

Different context. In the past, yes, some were Hindu or Buddhist, or they worship spirits. Look into the current context. Yes, Malays are Muslim.

Malays (in Malaysia except Sabah and Sarawak) need to be Muslim first or else they aren't Malays. This is the work of our leaders in the past so we Malays won't turn away from Islam.
