What Happened When Israel Was in the Wilderness?

Israel was sentenced to 40 years in the Wilderness Journey at Kadesh/Rithmah. 38 years and 17 campsites later, they returned to Kadesh. Numbers chapter 33 records all the campsites Israel experienced during the wilderness journey and in this video, we break down the names of the campsites during the majority of the journey to try and understand some of the lessons that God taught Israel at that time and how they can apply to us, Christians, today.

The forty years, in the desert, is the forty days of Lent which leads us up to the passover of the sun from winter (Egypt) to spring - summer aka the Promised land of milk and honey. It is at the spring equinox that Japheth covers earth with a blanket of green grass. Shem's blanket of white snow may be pretty but the cows, sheep, and goats prefer Japheth's blanket. The bees love the clover and spring flowers.

Great work. I was pondering Moses striking the rock, twice, when he had been ordered to use diplomatic terms to ally the stronghold and well, along with the resident population. The Israelites demanded that they seize the fortress by force and Moses did not veto the demand, as the Lord had ordered. Instead Moses attacks, once unsuccessfully, Israel then attacks again and gains the victory. And the Lord was wanting an ally, not a well for watering once or several times.

I applaud your putting Rithmah near Kadesh. But Kadesh is misplaced. It is most likely near Petra, in Wadi Musa. It is then to the east of the border of the Promised Land. The description of the borders of the Promised Land puts it to the south of Kadesh. Thus including the location where you placed Kadesh (including Mithcah, Hashmonah, Moseroth, and Bene Jaakan) within the Promised Land. A place where Moses was forbidden to go.

The Bible said in psalms 105 Even tho his people revealed against Moses and started to worship idols psalms 106: 19 said that the people made a calf at mount of Sinai they bow before an image made of gold.they forgot God,their saviour who had done such great things in Egypt in verse 35 instead they mingle among the pagans and adopted their evil customs.they worship their idols also in verse 25 said that instead they they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the lord therefore, he wrote that he will kill them in the wilderness.they even sacrifice their sons and daughters to the demons thas why God handed them over to pagan nations. In verse 40 said thats why the lord's anger burned against his people he handed them over to pagan nations and those who hated them ruled over them.

Sorry, I was meaning the maps you are utilizing on this film segment showing the Israelite's never leaving Egypt. The Egyptians ruled the area where you have located the route suppose to be traveled by the Israelite's. Mt. Sinai is also a fabricated location and is now used to this day as a place of commercialism. Have you considered studying out the routes of travel the Israelite's took? If not check out Ron Wyatt. I find it appalling that this worlds dishonesty is not being noticed. Galatians 4:25 states Mt. Sinai is in Arabia. Arabia starts across the gulf of Aqaba. Your map @ 0:30 is showing the Israelite's camping in Egyptian territory.

@@HistoryofRedemption But Moses doesn't have to go to Midian by crossing the Gulf of Aqaba like Wyatt proposes, Moses can go across the Sinai by ancient Suez to Ezion-Geber road. He doesn't go to southern Sinai and back on Roman roads which didn't exist in the time of Moses.
