Hi I'm Konix, basically the lead for lighting in all of the unite mods, the one who did almost all changes in payback, one who did particle changes for example the 2015 backfire, one who did the first VE's (lighting setup stuff) for NFS Heat and kicked off unite kind of, one who discovered basically most things except for anything related to cops, ui, and handling. Yeah this community was insanely toxic, for a while I just stopped working which is why the updates slowed down after a while, all of the mods kind of depended on me in some way to be finished and I just lost interest entirely because of the place. Will I never work on mods again? I don't know, I really don't have any will to do anything major in any of the games. I don't wanna go into detail but in the private channels a big argument occurred and basically a lot of the google drive was wiped off, as in where the mods were hosted, they weren't entirely lost but this kind of marked the end of the old team as everyone just split up or left, including me (who hasn't been working on much for up to a year by then anyway). I left the team with all of the things that I had work in progress, so they could finish them if they wanted to learn their way around them, but that's really it, hopefully the new team will be able to do something on their own, but as for me I moved on from unite. The files I left them with were all of the newest things I had cooked up for the mod, everyone who split up has them so many different mods may show up with these features, it's just up to them. I can probably dig a video or two of a few things I was doing if someone really wants it

The leads and mods were super toxic and the actual people whom made the mods split off, but I can tell you that a bunch of those people who actually made the mods are starting their own thing now, but it's wayyy to early to tell where it's going to go, just know that there's still people working on things.

Hey, I am one of the current owners of the new Unite server. i don't really care whether this comment goes seen or unseen, but this is the only real video where i've seen a crumble of positivity being pointed on the project as a whole. I am aware our behavior wasn't, to put it lightly, the best in the old server, things got toxic cause we lost interest and we got ahead of ourselves with the things we said and did sometimes, or most of the times. We are sorry for that, I am sorry for that especially. The truth that lies behind is another however. we were this community's scapegoat, someone where terrible individuals could dump all the blame on and keep acting like the miserable fucks that they are and our reputation was damaged by a plethora of individuals, who just pointed the finger at us so they could keep being terrible people as a whole. one thing i noticed however that even old members of the team now have been on this brigade to shit on us to make sure we don't come back, although we have completely changed our approach to this community altogether. it's easy to point at the bad shit we did, but the same individuals that are demonizing us, are very likely the same people that over the 3 years that old Unite was a thing, got massive amounts of help from the team both psychologically and financially even. We got demonized for opening the patreon back in the day, but no one mentions we opened it exclusively so that we could help team members, and just generally reward ourselves in some way for the work we were doing. There was no middle ground in the old team, it was just made, most of the times of one person saying "i will take care of this, don't worry", then complaining for being the only one working on stuff. someone who commented under this video as well (not going to namedrop him cause of privacy reasons) got an abnormous amount of financial help, yet he never even bothered to let us know if the money we had sent him were enough, nor bothered to at least update us on the situation that was going on in his life. we didn't really mind at the time, cause he did really work on a lot of stuff and we kind of were grateful to have him in the team, so this is the least that we could do for him, but looking back, we kind of got scammed. you could've atleast been thankful, and you failed to do that even. you also failed to mention the incredible amount of times you were leaving and rejoining the server, leaving progress on the mod incomplete, because of your life problems, and we still put up with your situation and were understanding. Look the point i'm trying to make is, we made a mistake, but we're not bad people, and the new server for Unite is an opportunity to right our wrongs and keep doing what we like the most, which is making need for speed mods. you can keep following us, or you can ignore us, but please do not bring up stuff that happened in the past cause i'm really, really tired of having to explain the correct and objective side of the story. If you have even ever been (or felt) offended by me, feel free to shoot me a dm on discord where we can talk it out like grown ups, instead of keeping on pointing fingers and saying "HE BAD PERSON!!!!!11!!!1!!1!1!" Unite Unbound is going to be great, and i ask you to be a part of it cause we really, really want this to be Unbound's best modpack. we can coexist without hating each other, i personally have no burdens with anyone, and i hope others can learn to move on and understand that, there is a place for all of us in this community.

Even if I don’t become part of the UNITE Team or rejoin the servers, which I won’t from what it looks like, that’s all okay with me, but I still have a right to making my own mods and appreciating your work on my own. Well, I honestly don't have an idea what exactly happened BUT I knew this would happen sooner or later. You guys lacked the dynamic of a team which is the reason it failed. Nothing new though. Things like this happens in all sorts of team projects. Sad thing is, whether you are responsible or not that doesn't matter in grand scheme of things BUT there will be always fingers pointing at you. The truth is, you have to deal with it not because of you were a bad person or something like that. Good thing is, you apologized about it. We all are humans and we aren't perfect. Sometimes, shit happens. Nevertheless, I appreciate the people who worked on the mods and looking forward to the Unbound Unite. That's why some toxic NFS fans are really hate some newest NFS just because a reason what I said. Not only Project UNITE, it's also happened to PEPEGA Mods (especially meme mods for Mostwanted and Prostreet, but they're decide for discountinued it because a similar reason). It funny how I was consider toxic back in the day when I turn the main developer into a walk meme back in NFS Rivals era. However most of it was mainly tongue n Cheek, shit posting, and make fun of fanboys treating this developer that turn NFS into Mario Kart as a savior for the franchise. One thing I do notice from this pattern is the people that hide it behind this fake persona of positivity are the most toxic out of the bunch. You can commonly see that once you give these people any kind of power and how badly they can abuse it.
