I got a written warning for having the rear light on the back of my cab on. When he pulled me over and told me it was on I just flicked it off. I didn’t think it was serious enough to demand a ticket, hire a lawyer etc.

Verbal warnings will not stay on your driving record. However, a written warning or a citation will appear on your record for three to five years.
