The US wouldn't respond to a North Korean nuclear attack with ICBM's. It would be with bombers or submarine launched cruise missiles. No overflight of Russia required. Also, the US interceptor missiles are not meant for Russian ICBM's, they are meant for the limited stockpile of North Korean and Iranian missiles.

Then the VP has athority to order if an attack takes place that removed the president, plus they have a bypass code that is transmitted if a strike is detected. Then stratcom can decide what and how much to retaliate. Personslly i would go with the silo based nukes (use 'em or lose 'em) and save the subs for later. Really hope it does not happen though 😕

All those who are left behind are in very serious trouble, not just from the chaos that man brings but the spiritual chaos that will start.
