This video is NOT objective. He brushes off increased borrowing as if it's no big deal. The federal budget is impacted by interest payments made on sovereign debt - the more we pay down that debt, the more money the federal government has for things like healthcare and education. If this video were about Germany, the IMF (International Monetary Fund), or the ECB (European Central Bank) he wouldn't have been critical.

You know, I’m really starting to get tired of this cycle we seem to keep doing here. Regardless of which party you prefer, you get all excited to see your presidential candidate and congress win, they then gives you 2 years of lackluster governing before getting whalloped in the next midterm giving you 2-6 years of congressional gridlock and fighting over the dumbest stuff imaginable. A very well functioning democracy we have here. Wonder how much longer people can take it.
@Florian0799
@Florian0799 Жыл бұрын
I think it is because you elect parliament too often. They just got elected and the year after that they are already on elections again how do you want to effectively govern like that? I mean sure it could be kept as a midterm or at the beginning of a presidents term/reelection so terms could in theory be expanded to 4 years. Which would also mean presidents can finally govern like the people who elect him want to. (Would also be nice to give every state 3 senators instead of 2 so every state can elect one every election cycle.)

I think covering the Herschel Walker scandal may be a better topic than a general what if. Love your content.

What scandal, people are locked in their opinions regardless of the matter. Abortionists will vote democrat regardless, and those that are against abortion will vote for Walker. Wont move the needle at all.
