I think it is a bug because that's supposed to pop up if you get a new mate ... so I think both dying confuses the system

except, I had my ironwolf die after mate died and had one pup left, and somehow game decided that pup lived! wonder if it's because it was a single pup remaining. died to a wolf, after coyotes took out pup's only other remaining sibling. because coyotes couldnt claim the den just got too grrr.

What about when they are older? Like they would have absolutely no way of surviving alone that young, but what if they were all 20 pounds? Would any of them survive?

It dosent nesesseraly end when they are 20 pounds that's just when endless summer starts, though very unlikely they might survive somehow they should at that point know how to hunt small thighs like toads and hares. I don't think it's likely but just got curious.

It is kinda hard to test at that point as the game auto saves at that point . But I would expect that same pop up though.
