@@flamingrubys11 no you couldn't evolve pikachu in the original. you had to trade it from yellow to red or blue where it would revert to a regular pikachu to evolve. sending it back to yellow as a raichu thus didn't matter anymore as the special programming on that pikachu was gone. hence it not following nor interacting.

That would be cool but to be honest you would think that they would've had already made Eeveelution of almost all pokemon types by now i mean heck i don't know if anybody else remembers but i remember when the meltan was introduced but this was when it was just the gift and nobody know what the new pokemon was going to be and there where some videos on KZbin saying that it might have been a steel typ Eeveelution the point is they should've given Eevee an Eeveelution of all the pokemon types by now i mean they gave us umbreon and Espeon in Gen 2 then they waited and one generation and gave us Leafyiaon on glaceyiaon (sorry if i spelled these name) in Diamond and Pearl the 4th generation and then they waited one more generation and gave us Sylviaon (sorry if i spelled that wrong) when pokemon XY came out and all because they added a new pokemon type when we never got a steel type a rock type a ground type a ghost type a flying type a dragon type a bug type a fighting type and now that i think of it black and white would have been a great place to give Eevee a dragon type evolution look the point is is that i think we should've got most of pokemon types for the Eeveelution By now

Eevee/Vaporeon/flareon/jolteon is not using a cry, because it is too shocked that you forced it to evolve :

I'm pretty sure the reason it loses its cry is because it still has the same form ID as the partner Eevee and there's no cry associated with the non-existent alternate forms of the Eeveelutions. Also, the reason it says it needs negative Exp. to level up (which you didn't address in the video but other people have pointed out) is because partner Eevee needs more Exp. to reach level 100 than regular Eevee, so when you evolve it, it has more Exp. than an Eeveelution should have at that level.

You are way too optimistic about that scenario. Just like with the Eevee on your head. Nothing would change in the cut scene because the Eevee is programmed to be there in the code and has special animations that no other pokemon besides the Pikachu in the other version is programmed to have. Its the same kind of logic with not having the Eevee in your party but it stays on your head. All the animations are programmed to have the Eevee (or Pikachu) there regardless of whether its in your party and or evolved, example being things like the surfing animations, they are basically just cut scenes. Most of this video was very predictable because no other Pokemon would be programmed to do these things that only the starter would be programmed to do these things.

I think whether it’s a game or real life, you’ve touched the basic concept of... if you force something onto another (in this case, it’s glitching a game to force something that’s not meant to happen), the receiving party loses their voice (in this case, it’s their cry). Pretty basic concept. If you try this on an actual person or worse, a pet, that makes you a lowly characterized human. The idea of forcing another entity to do your bidding is to ignore their voice and make them unheard. Even in “just a game,” the point is made. Imagine that.

aqua cat just my twisted thinking. I just have this silly belief that animals do not have a malicious side in them. Humans are the only creatures who can tell the difference between right and wrong and still chooses to do the wrong things and feel good about it too. Animals kill for survival. Plot Twist: Eevee didn't evolve, he became a Stand User. He stays on your hat while his Stand fights. In the Overworld, you can't see the Stand because you're not a Stand User. In a battle, you can see the Stand because you're technically playing as the Stand instead of your character.

Because they have different experience rates so Melmetal needs more Exp points to reach certain levels compared to Eevee, but since the Exp points are kept the same when evolving, when the game recalculates the stats the Level also changes.

I wish there was a way to re-rig each of the Eeveelution models to the player's shoulders or head. I could definitely try, but I'm not sure how it could even be used ingame or modded into the cartridge somehow. Vaporeon is my favorite pokemon, I would love a game where I could carry one around ❤️

One thing that you forgot to mention is that the Flareon battle was the only time that the models for both the pre- and post-evolutions of the partner Pokemon were on-screen at the same time (since the former stayed on the trainer's head and the latter came out of a Pokeball). So effectively a copy of the Pokemon was made upon stone evolution?
