I mean, they could have done it with Dan. The reason it flew so high in the later try is because the legs got detached making it much lighter. Even with the legs I'm willing to bet Dan is significantly heavier than the mannequin. They could've done it, but I'm ok with them taking the safer choice
@backdrafter19884 жыл бұрын
@@wave1090 the problem is with this, the amount of force that is excerted on the human back is enough to get compression fractures in the spine, to do stuff like this on a human body for a video and/or prank is plain stupid. no Dan probably wouldnt have lost any bodyparts there is an abbundance of cases where this "Prank" made it that people that fell victim to it broke there spine and there is even cases where the person became a paraplegic.... @@_Crumpet I never said it was safe. I even said they went for the safe option, which was the mannequin. I only said that he could have done it and most likely not have gotten severally injured or at least not as hurt as the mannequin would led you to believe.
@_Crumpet4 жыл бұрын
@@wave1090 Well, what you actually said was 'they could have done it with Dan', to which my response is essentially yes they could've, just once. It's stupid to suggest that it's even remotely reasonable to do so. Oh, and a touch of physics - the legs flew high too, so their detaching meant nothing for how high the body went because they also went that high anyway and would've whether they stayed attached or not.

Speaking as a person who reconstructs car crashes, a common injury related to air bags is compound fractures of the thumb(s) needing surgical repair with plates and screws. This is caused by driving with your thumb curled inside the steering wheel grip. When the airbag activates, your hand is forcibly moved away from the steering wheel commonly breaking the bone between your palm and first knuckle. The solution is to drive with your thumb alongside you're other fingers as you grip the steering wheel.
