Omg. Yes. Pharmacy Tech here and the sheer amount of people pouring into the pharmacy for a bottle of soap or asking about a rash (which go see a doctor!) is insane. I kind of miss the days of working without constant interruptions. And the facemasks!! No one wears them properly. I have issues with the public now. And worse. I work retail pharmacy so of course everyone is now buying their groceries daily. And social distance? Is that a thing still? Yeah. It’s replayed on the speakers constantly and we have sings and place mats. But now that restrictions are being lifted. Forget it. I wish you so much luck in the coming days. Especially since there will be a spike in case of Covid-19 due to everyone’s blatant disrespect of...well...everything. Thank you so much for being a nurse. I didn’t have the stomach for it and chose not to pursue that as a career. You have my respect.

Dear Holderness Family - besides a quick note that my family absolutely LOVES and adores you, I'm writing to you today with a special request. I work for the headquarters of a retirement company here in beautiful Orlando, FL [yes, sunshine greetings to Kim!]. As you might know, seniors in retirement communities are experiencing different and far more reaching levels of social isolation. Knowing your epic work, I'm putting together all my courage to ask you for an Elvis Presley parody to show appreciation for the most amazing, wonderful generation of people who are stuck in their apartments and might need some encouragement in discovering the endless wonders of KZbin. Penn' parody talent will surely appeal to our biggest Elvis fans. It would lift their spirits and make their day - for many days, weeks and months to come. Covid has changed out lives, but incomparably so for the older generation who has experienced the Great Depression, the World War II and the Cold War, among many other crisis, such as reusable diapers, canned Spam, absence of epidural and AC, but plenty of washboards and actual hands-on farming. What do you say? Anything on Elvis with how all days have that Groundhog day feel? Blues? Anxiety-inducing news? Having seen it all and staying strong, knowing the Great Generation can beat it at the age of 85 or 97? Elvis comeback to support his biggest fans?! Please. This is history in making. I work from home now and none of my daily work deserves going into history, but their experience of this mess does. Happy to provide more details, such as the name of my company, if you agree. With love, Olga Yana King

My husband and I agreed earlier today: home cooking and once a week takeout for dinner. No dining out all summer, at the very least. However, I am still working, caring for infants and toddlers of essential workers and yes, I consider myself to also be an essential worker. Masks are on all teachers, but not on the children that are old enough to wear masks. Parents do not come in to the building. It's takeout and take in on the child delivery too. Friday is the end of lockdown in our city, with a phased in approach. Love your content!

I am surprised to see how fast things are opening up in the states. I am in Canada and the public health doc for our province is going very slow. There are 5 phases & we aren't even fully into phase 5 yet which is the first step. The only reason we are partially (parks are reopened, fishing but with social distancing and only those in your own household) is because we had a lot of tragedy here in Nova Scotia & they were concerned about everyone's mental health. But he has said he would ideally like at least 28 days between each phase which means we are potentially months away from being even semi back to normal. However I am ok with it because he is making the best decisions poss for our province. I will be like you guys, baby steps. I am not rushing back into anything esp going out in public. Stay safe Holderness Family!

Please, please, please, take it slowly. This hilarious video touches on a lot of great points. However, as a reminder, COVID-19 will have second and even third waves. Around June the second wave will hit, and the third will be in the Fall. Personally, we too are playing it safe. We will go outside for walks, camping, and fishing, but just with the family we’ve been isolating with. Our state is huge and it is really easy to do all of these things locally, yet also completely away from others. Public restrooms are a HUGE no-no! So glad the Holderness’ brought this up. Just my little public service announcement to keep y’all safe.

I think I'm fully recovered, but until I can get in to see the orthopedist, I haven't been cleared to drive. BUT, I would go out, every now and then, and start my car and sit in the driveway, listening to podcasts and dreaming of the day I could actually back the car out of my driveway, and go somewhere...anywhere! (Don't worry; I'm an introvert, so I would have driven somewhere where there were no people.)

Great service, but I did feel weird and when my husband suggested going out to our favorite Tex-Max place, I said no, let's just order to-go. I think we'll be ordering to-go for quite a while. I do not feel comfortable enough with other people's sanitation efforts to go to another restaurant. It's one thing when you are literally the only person there, but it's an entirely different thing when there's like 40 other people around you, some of whom may or may not wash their hands and use sanitizer.

I went back to work May 4th.I work in a restaurant but, we shouldn't have opened since half the people are too afraid to go out to eat.The other half don't know were open yet. Can't make money that way so I had to get a 2nd job.Financially I was better off on unemployment since we can't get customers in the restaurant.

Yeah, I was already socially awkward before lockdown... This has set me back years. 😂 Thankfully I live with 7 other people who put up with me. That's enough peopling for me every day anyway.

I don’t know I think we are starting to but I think it also depends on the state

Different states are starting to open back up. It's still kinda quarantine. You have to practice social distancing still but you're allowed to go back to work

States are starting to do phased reopening. Google the plan for your state.

I wouldn't be. Mine is opening back up and we still have cases which will cause it to spread and shut back down for longer

I have jeans with the elastic waist band. I put them on last week and I ended up injuring myself. Can you imagine the damage I could have done by putting on jeans with a BUTTON!?!?!? I am currently drinking a healthy protein shake and not eating pizza for a looooooong time.

Like how you're doing your part to help get us through but it is never good to live in fear or completely reckless. Yes? Think I'll go back to bed. Wake me when I can "go home". Great thanks.
