My son died by suicide on 10-23-21. Shortly before he died he told me that he really missed his grandaddy - my Dad. We moved on as best as we could. Then on the morning of 8-13-2022, I heard from him. He said “Mom”. Just “Mom”. I wrote it on my calendar. Several weeks went by before I realized that he contacted me on my Dad’s 105th birthday. Before this happened, I believed in Heaven. Now I KNOW that there is a Heaven. I also know a woman that heard from her late son. I don’t know what law of God or physics allows this kind of communication, but I am beyond thankful that it exists.

I have no doubt that they are treated with compassion and love. Problem is, their timing was out in that they needed to live their life through to the end. My brother killed himself at the agee of 41. I grieved severely and at one stage, whilst crying, I heard him say "please don't cry anymore. You are hurting me." However, I will say this -- new age NDEs cull all of the NDEs that include hell or torment or judgment, whilst Judeo-Christian NDEs cull all of the NDEs that do not include hell, torment, or judgment. Both have their own goals, and I dislike that there are no neutral NDE channels where they include generic experiences from both sides without trying to cull the experience to push for a specific message.

Personally, been struggling with passive SI for years. I heard of techniques and exercises to have the experience without resorting to self Deletion. I understand your faith. I was a born-again Christian and on the faculty of a Baptist college. It isn't a matter of choosing faith or what we are saying about the life after this life. Go to the Jesus' words for guidance. Jesus said to those condemning a woman caught in adultery, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." What he was saying was that we are all "sinners." We could never be perfect enough. He was saying don't judge people. And more importantly, God does not judge people. In Matthew, he said "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." There is no judgment or condemnation for taking one's life. There is no one who must be good to enter the Kingdom of God. There is no judgment or condemnation. More importantly, we have received many, many reports from people now living in the life after this life that there is no judgment of someone who takes their life. There is no punishment. There is only understanding and empathy.

Nothing is shamed. All choices we make are just choices we're making from where we are. Yes, when a person takes their life because of some debilitating illness, there is great understanding and none of the regret felt when someone ends their life because of life's problems. For others who don't have the illnesses, no one we've heard speak from the life after this life about their suicide has said "Boy, that was the best thing I ever did. I'm glad I'm out of there." They all say it was a great mistake. It was a permanent solution to a temporary problem. They come through to their loved ones on this side with great regret and sorrow at their choice. The hard truth is that there really isn't anything for the person who is not leaving because of a debilitating illness to look forward to by ending their life. But the greater problem is that we as a society don't have the safety nets to help people get past the challenges. If there is blame and shame, it is on us as a society.

Depression is very real deep Depression and clinical depression is very real. There is mental illnesses that are not seen with physical evidence. I buried my son yesterday as he took his life. He didn't do it for the hell of it. He suffered and battled his darkness for a long time trying to beat it, but it ended up beating him. In around 5% of the cases, a near-death experience can have some negative qualities, but they aren't consistent across experiences. That shows they have to do with the person rather than the afterlife. Feelings of being grabbed and jostled are exactly what the person goes through in trauma. Images that are negative have their root in the portrayals of a hell. More importantly, for those who have made the transition when the body dies, not one reports a hell. Emotions are the same as they are on Earth, but they have a perspective on life and the eventual reunion of everyone that most people now on Earth don't have. When someone takes their life, the people on this side of life grieve because the exit wasn't necessary. That grief will lost a long time, and eventually stabilizes, but doesn't go away entirely. For people living in the life after this life, they feel that grief and also realize what they've lost. So their sadness continues. Eventually, they will grow beyond the grief, just as their loved ones on Earth grow beyond it. And because they realize the life on Earth is just a blink of an eye, their grief is tempered by the fact that they know they will have a reunion with the people still on Earth in a short time. And they can look in on their loved ones on Earth at any time. What they feel is a mixture of these emotions. So their sadness and regret do eventually reduce.

However, an example of correct translation is Luke's parable of Lazarus and the rich man, in which the rich man finds himself, after death, in Hades, and "in anguish in this flame", while in contrast the angels take Lazarus to "the bosom of Abraham", described as a state of comfort. There are many quotes around fire and gnashing of teeth. Although I would like to believe that there is no hell, reading myself I find evidence of the contrary or at least big question marks ⁉️ I believe in hell and heaven and free will, we choose what we want. I won't blame you if you don't buy what I'm saying. But my belief is that this world is a set up as a school, and it is actually one of the hardest schools around. The awful experiences are there to strengthen us, teach us, and stimulate growth. It is not God who sends us here but us. We volunteered for the assignment. We did so on the other side, although we have no memory of that now. We will remember after we are "dead" and our mind expands to its full dimension. We can see so little of the big picture here. They may have fragments from your life or whole frameworks. That intertwines you with them, so they might have a past-life regression in which they remember events in your life. But they are not you. You will be living in a realm called Summerland. You'll be having exciting experiences and loving experiences with your loved ones and others. You'll continue to grow. Absolutely no, people who take their own life don't go to "Hell." They are not judged for what they did. They are met with love and compassion. They do regret what they did, and must experience the grief and sadness all the people they left on Earth and those already in the afterlife are feeing as result of their action. And they soon realize they lost the opportunity to make a fulfilling life on Earth by overcoming the obstacles. But no one judges them. And there is no such thing as the terrible mythology of a Hell. People who take their own lives tell us from the afterlife that it is not a happy reunion with people already there. Both the person who took their life and all the rest already there feel the intense emotions of the people left on Earth because we become one in mind. They feel all the emotions people feel who are left behind. And everything that could have been gained from life is gone. They all regret the choice of leaving Earth early.

The word translated "Hell" by the early translators was actually "Gehenna" or "Valley of Hinnom." It was a ravine outside of Jerusalem where garbage was dumped and burned. In earlier years, there were human sacrifices there. The early translators of the Bible assumed "Gehenna" was "Hell" and mistranslated it. Later versions of the Bible corrected the problem. When we realize the truth about life, there's no need to try to outrun the transition to the next life. It's just a normal stage of life, like going from childhood into adolescence. There's no place of torture in the next life. No one is judged. We learn to grow in love, compassion, and wisdom by reviewing our lives and learning from what we've done. We judge ourselves. But there is no hell.

Nowhere in the Jewish or Christian canon is there a statement that suicide is a "sin." And all the reports we have from people now living in the afterlife tell us that people who have taken their own life are met with love and understanding. And they tell us there is no "sin" or punishment for what someone does on Earth. And the notion that they wander in the Earth plane is superstition that has no basis in any facts we know about this life and the next.

Kathryn, yes, the word heaven is ouranós in the Greek. The New Testament manuscripts we have are in Greek. "Heaven" is an Anglo Saxon English word used when ouranós appears as a translation. The Anglo Saxon word "hofen" or "heaven" means "home of God," not a place where people go. Kingdom of Heaven or Kingdom of God was Βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν in the Greek. Jesus clearly said God's kingdom is on earth, not in a far-off place. It is within, meaning people must have a metanoia, a change of heart and mind, to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Heaven wasn't a far-off place. There are references to God's being in the firmament, or hashamayim, translated "heaven." That is not a place people would go. As far as "hell" goes, that is also an Anglo Saxon word meaning to cover or hide. It never referred to a place of torment. The New Testament does not mention a place of torment at all, except in one reference to Lazarus seeing people in torment that was added to the New Testament at a later time. Even then, it was not called a Greek word for "hell." The Greek γέεννα (Gehenna) referred to a garbage dump where fires burned. Jesus referred to Gehenna to say our bodies will eventually be on the garbage dump, so only what we have stored up as good while on earth will stay with us in eternity. Early translations translated Gehenna as hell, but modern translates realize that was a mistake and have gone back to the right word, Gehenna, the garbage dump. There just never was a hell.

It says in the Bible after this life, then we face God's judgment. What would be God's judgment? I've heard for example, that a young soldier died when his plane was shot down by the Japanese during that war time, and he was reincarnated in this current life, so could that be part of God's judgment? I think the after life may be different for each individual, according to the way we live in this life.

No. There is no hell. Hitler is on a stage of spiritual development. It's a pretty low stage, but he's growing and developing in his understanding of what he did during his lifetime. In his life review, he actually enters the minds of the people he hurt and feels their emotions from their point of view. It will be a terrible time for him, but it isn't a punishment. It's meant to help him grow. He lives in a lower region of the afterlife, where people like him are living together. They are there because their state of mind puts them into the same environment as others with the same state of mind. It is dark and dank, with shrieks and loud shouting because of the state of mind of the inhabitants. He will eventually grow out of that into the upper regions after he has learned to be loving and compassionate.

Jesus did not go to Hell. There is no Bible verse stating that. The early Christian church inserted that in the Apostle's creed, but based on no Bible passages. In any event, "Hades" or "Sheol" in Judaism was just a place of darkness. There was never a place of torment in Judaism. That was created by the Christian church in the first centuries CE. Look at the evidence for Hell in the same way you would look for evidence of moons around Jupiter. What evidence is there that a Hell exists? The Hebrews didn't believe in a place of suffering. The early followers of Jesus didn't believe in a place of suffering. There is no mention of it in the earliest Christian writings: Acts of the Apostles, Paul's letters, and the Gospel of Mark. There is one mention of Lazarus and the rich man that was not in the earliest manuscripts. It was added by the church. So where is the evidence Hell exists? It comes purely from the church after the first century CE. What evidence is there it doesn't exist. We have many thousands of communications with people living in the afterlife. They all say there is no such place as Hell.

"Near-death" is only the body coming near to ceasing to function. What people experience is not the same as receiving information from people who have actually made the transition from this life to the next. We base everything we write on communication from people living in the life after this life, not near-death experiences. I read your other post. When people transition to the next stage of their lives, they have all the same emotions they had when on Earth. They do experience regret and feel the sadness of all the people involved.
