I think the body and brain are both fascinating subjects and I wanted to explore what potential benefits that come from running regularly. I lift weights for the aesthetic results. I run for the mental benefits. I strive for 150 minutes of running a week. I can usually cover that in 3-4 sessions. Several weeks I have stopped running to monitor my mental health, and I have no choice. If I did not run I would be on an anti-depressant and I am so afraid of what that would do to me. Getting in that running time every week saves me from falling to a very dark place. It really is incredible how our bodies can heal themselves.

I run 7 - 10 miles every day, and consistent running will adapt the body to a certain shape, depending on diet and genetics.
