Whenever I started out my Sims 3 game, I ran over to the community garden that can give your sims some easy ingredients for food, or if nothing else, some easy simoleons.

Luckily I’ve never had major issues with this game but I have done a couple of fixes to get the game running even smoother. There’s a good guide on the Steam Community, I loosely followed it (I’d link it but KZbin doesn’t like external links in comments)
