That's actually an unstable situation known as the 3 body problem, one would likely be flung in a random direction, such as straight at you. So no, nothing like a fidget spinner where all 3 units are aligned and move together.

Its amazing to live in a time where black holes arent just known to man, but where one can lay in bed thinking "i wonder what happens if two black holes collide" then find a possible answer and explanation in seconds. This truly have to be an era of knowledge, it is a shame not to absorb information like a black hole when its right at your fingertips. Thank you for this video my friend, somehow it got me appreciating my surroundings even more. :-)

Science doesn't have rules. Science is a method of observation.
@TheDigitalWatcher
@TheDigitalWatcher 9 жыл бұрын
David Hendrickson You're playing with words and utterly missing the point I'm trying to make. To say that science has the laws that govern the mechanics of reality is intellectually dishonest. Science does not possess these laws, nor did it give these laws to reality. The universe has always possessed these laws by which it governs itself (as far as we can calculate). Science is merely the method by which mankind has observed and identified these laws.

@TheDigitalWatcher
@TheDigitalWatcher 9 жыл бұрын
David Hendrickson Observing something that has always existed and will continue to do so, regardless of whether or not anyone identifies it, does not make it a law of the method used to observe said thing. I'm in no way undermining the work of scientists who devote their whole lives to determining how things works. Regardless, science doesn't own these laws, making it misleading to say something as "the laws of science." They are the laws of reality. I'm fully aware of what OP was referring to. I'm fully aware that scientists observe, calculate, and name the laws and principles they discover. Way to be ironically moronic by accusing me of over analyzing something, then assuming I know absolutely nothing of the matter at hand, when I'm merely pointing out a poor choice of words. Btw, yes you were playing with words. A law and a rule are more or less the same thing. Saying that science has no rules but rather laws is not saying anything different.

15,000 light years across, that is absolutely fucking obscene. That means it would take 15,000 years, travelling at 670 million MPH 24/7, 365 a year. I mean, what the actual fuck?
@duno3329
@duno3329 8 жыл бұрын
+Toten Kommando I think you may be wrong. If something travels at a speed close to the light the space beetween the start and the end of the trip would be shortened because of the *Length Contraction* of the special relativity, so the time it would take to reach the end would be less than 15,000 years. And the time the traveler would experience would be even less because of the *Time Dilation*. As for something traveling at the speed of light(wich is impossible) would experience the end of the universe instantly, but this is another topic.
@7227falcon
@7227falcon 8 жыл бұрын
We're just talking about this from the view of the majority of humans, not accounting for how gravity minorly affects us on a nonfundamental space-time level.
@duno3329
@duno3329 8 жыл бұрын
I'm not talking about how gravity could affect space-time, instead about how the speed affects it. Although you're right about the view of the majority, the understandment of the Einstein's theory of relativity is really low between most people. But that's why im trying to explain something here. And gravity may minorly affects space-time but when we talk about speeds close to the light, things change, we are talking about years in long term trips. Depending of how close of the speed of the light, it could be centuries.

I guess it would become so big that it would alter greatly time and space around it on a massive scale, thus fucking up entire galaxy groups at a time, and it would basically put gravity and everything else related to gravity in any astral object in shambles, which would attract the galaxy itself into the black hole's sheer size. And it can contribute to further increase its size, especially if there's another black hole sucked up into the whole ordeal, which would only further increase in size, so it would be able to suck up more stuff, and if another black hole would also be absorbed (again), it would only grow bigger and suck more things up et cetera. tl;dr: The End

what happens when a black hole and a white collide
@CaptainTwizzlers
@CaptainTwizzlers 7 жыл бұрын
Well... it's possible but wouldn't come naturally, because white holes are the exact opposite they push away objects from them instead of toward them. White holes are a theory though but who knows great question. Let's say they were able to collide it would be like antimatter colliding with matter. They would both annihilate each other and release so much energy we wouldn't even know how it would affect the space time fabric.

The same thing occurs when neutron stars collide. Gravitational waves were first predicted by Einstein and directly observed by CalTech’s LIGO in 2015, though the first evidence to support their existence came in 1974 when two astrophysicists discovered a pair of neutron stars orbiting each other in such a way that they must be losing energy in the form of gravitational waves. Just a bit of extra info because I’ve been translating articles about this recently ❤

simple questions: 1. can gravity waves direction can be affected trough the gravitation of masses or any other events? 2. Are those gravitation waves weaker(harder to measure) the more we are on distant? 3. Let's assume the earth doesn't move, and we could travel faster than the speed of light, could we measure from each direction of the earth the gravitation waves and reconstruct the history? 4.I saw a video "the sound of black holes colliding", but if gravitation waves interference, how it's possible to assume the sound of that spot.

What happens when you learn the ultimate truth of life? It is the same thing that happens when you get what you think you want, it is what people call a moment of clarity, a sudden realization of something they have always known subconsciously but could never connect with until someone explained it clearly. The truth as it relates to conscious life has been revealed and it turned out to be better than anything we could have imagined. See what has just recently been revealed to mankind and is being revealed to us now, Google *_Truth Contest_* and read the top entry. This is not only truth that the evidence says is true, it is truth you can check for yourself. NOthing could be more important or more worthwhile than checking the truth for yourself.
