Just a little tip : I found out that if you talk to the game director before you complete your Pokédex you will get a catching charm which basically boosts your critical catch chance which is definitely helpful when you are trying to complete your Pokédex

Cameron Crittenden LoL this game is their laziest one. It’s literally just a 3ds game with the absolute slightest upgrades of textures, exact same animations(not just Pokémon moves, ALL animations like the humans have been the same since gen 5), as well as number of other things are all basically the same. Is it an improvement? Yes, but not by much at all. Certainly not enough to really excuse it for its 60 dollar price tag and for being a console game. It’s also the shortest game in the franchise which in itself is a sin(this is based on average time for story, roughly 20 hours compared to the average 30 the past few have). I played through the entire game and enjoyed certain aspects of it, mainly a lot of the new Pokémon, but mostly felt just disappointed at the game as a whole. Here’s hoping next gen is an actual console game with its improvements but since game freak feels obligated to spit out a game every year now instead of taking time...so I doubt it.
