What Happens When You DSG Tune a B8 Audi S4.

You need the DSG tune because it increases clutch pressure, if you wouldnt have the trans tune you might slip the clutches. Also, revving ut to 7100 instead of 6500 is a massive gain.

hey man,i own a b8 s5 i was wondering if ur transmission sounds clunky from outside downshifting from 2nd to 1st? cause mine is pretty audible when it does even if u put it in manual. Good Video Keep It Up

Aero Shift thanks man. After the tune it is clunky when going P-R-D etc when sitting still but I think that’s due to the tune as it didn’t do it before - hard to tell when changing gears tbh as the car is very loud 😂

How does this DSG tune go under about 40km/h and especially from a stop and then go scenario? It seems a lot more responsive and smoother in the changes than mine but wondering if it's a turd at slow speeds or not?

From 0 to take off I don’t usually stomp it, I’ll let it roll for about a second then go. Other than that it’s perfect drives like normal - shifts are harder for sure but that’s expected with the higher pressure

@@TheFittingBay I can't afford to fork out the extra cash right now. I have the 034 full control arm kit, 034 rear sway bar with end links going on next month. I'm hoping that once I transfer unitronic cable into my name there will be updates available and I will be golden. Comfort mode drastically improves the drivability around town though.

sd70m2man This one does 😂. I had also read that somewhere and I was a little confused. This was bone stock when I got it and one of the first things I did was launch it 😂

sd70m2man Yep I left it in auto, I might try it in manual too. Dynamic, TC off, foot on the brake, punch accelerator, let go and fly 😂

They all have launch control I have a b8 too

They all have LC just about 200 max launches counter. Tunes allow for unlimited launches.

Lmao it feels the same because your DSG already had a tune before you flashed it. Proof is your showing the current gear while driving in S mode. Untuned only shows the letter S.

That is absolutely a fact. Your car will only show the letter S in sport mode if the DSG is not tuned. It will only show the current gear next to S if the trans is tuned. At least now you know “which” trans tune is in the car since you flashed it in yourself. Very nice car and content by the way.

@@justinquitson2914 Yeah fair, just seems odd considering the car was from 1 owner with full service history and was untouched with 80k km on it. But maybe they were experiencing the same gear box issues i had and had it tuned? Not sure but it works now lol and thank you :)

@@justinquitson2914 incorrect, ADM models all show what gear its in on stock tcu tunes. If its in Drive it will say D1,2,3 etc. Sports S1,2,3 etc.
