There is no limit. Once you get past 2 billion, the number goes negative. If you start losing a lot of lives, it will go back to positive 2 billion.

Okay Vanalk so an explanation of what's happening: when it hits 2.whatever billion that's the max amount of bits it can compute and so the numbers "rolls over" back to the start which is just negative 2.whatever billion. Usually though when that happens it will start counting upwards again though and the display didn't do this so that's a little wierd.

the reason why you get negative cash is because theres a max number possible formed with 1s and 0s. so when it goes over the max almost most of the time it either crashes or loops back to a negative.

Bloons TD Battles is a 32 bit game. This means that the maximum value possible is 2^32 (4294967296) You see, its not possible to get negatives like this as the smallest number is 0. What a computer does it asign the first half as negatives, so 0 would be shown as -2147483648 to a computer. Once a computer goes over the maximum bits (for 32 bit games this is 2147483648) It encounters something known as a stack overflow. To add one more intager it needs to add an extra bit however that would make it 33 bits long which it cant. It continues to add this anyway and ignores the 33rd bit and now the variable gets sent to 0 which still is -2147483648. This is why once you get past 2147483648 you get -2147483648. Also if you get below -2147483648, then the variable will be set to 2147483648 (known as a buffer underflow, however more uncommon)

2.1 billion is the 32 bit integer limit, thats the cap that bloons uses. When it goes negative, thats because of an integer overflow that causes it to go into the negatives. Every body understand?

It's goes to negative because if you look at the code it's a 32 bit signed binary code and that is (11111111111111111111111111111111) And each didger represents a power of two. (1,2,4,8,16,so on starting in the one from the right) so in binary 101 = 5 because it is 1,2,4 but since the 0 is 2 you don't add the 2 and just the 1 and 4. Since all are set to 1 the max number adds up to 2,147,483,647 but the thing is that the 32cd 1 in that binary is set to negative 2,147,483,647 because in binary you also need to represent negative numbers to counter the positive, therefore causing the bug of becoming negative. it goes to negative because of the way binary works, if u have number 11111111 (eight ones) and you try to add one you get 100000000 (one and eight zeros) but u can't fit 9 digits so one is getting cut off and you get 00000000 if game sets 1000000 as 0 everything above it goes positive and below it goes negative, when it changes to 100000000 it flips from the highest to the lowest number I hope its readable, my english isn't that great
