Awe reminds me of the old Mircowave party I held in my early 20´s. One night I said out loud, I wonder what would happen if we put my mobile phone with the lit up antenna that isnt working anymore in a microwave. My friend said; ey I got a microwave to donate! Soon after we held a party with about 25 people were we tried out different objects, my mobile phone, lightbulp, soap, a plant leaf etc (in the name of science ofcourse!) in the donated microwave. We had an absolute blast & I am so happy nothing exploaded or got burned down (in hindsight lol) but did have to air out the smells once we dipped for the pub in town. To this day ( 20+ years later) its still talked about cause we were so dumb but had so much fun! Oh as for the mobile, the antenna lit up in its different colors before it starting melting & died completely....

As someone who’s been doing AIR DRY CLAY earrings here’s some advice, get a huge amount of clay, use a rolling pin and create an design, then cut the shapes out with your cutter or whatever! If you don’t do this then I hope this helped
@sadist8902 Жыл бұрын
There shouldn’t be any problems if you just use a regular oven. You can use the same oven you eat in, as long as you don’t cook food it in for a couple hours after you baked your clay. You can also purchase a mall regular oven for your clay only. Bake it like the package instructions, but if you want to paint FIMO, I’d suggest baking it at a higher temperature than the 110°C they recommend (it’s usually around 130 °C like sculpey and cosclay).
@Superfreaky2 Жыл бұрын
People shouldn’t be just starting businesses without practicing the art of polymer clay first.

Heyyy!! can someone please please answer a question I have... so when we use air drying clay can we make useable pottery out of it by covering it with resin hardner?
@YoungDymisty8 ай бұрын
Do you mean for food or plant pots ? Because I believe there is resin that's food safe although I have seen it's not recommended 100% as you don't know what might leach out after long-term usage. If you meant for like pots or containers resin or even a good varnish should be fine just make sure you add drainage holes if it's the main pot for plants. And a good varnish should be fine for general usage. I made some small clay plates years ago and just used varnish after painting and they've held up so well. Hopefully this answered your question. Sorry if it didn't. 😅
