Great video Luke :) A suggestion: instead of wasting your money and the environment on wet-wipes, buy a dozen pack of flannels/face cloths from ASDA or wherever and put each of them in a ziplock bag with water and soap solution. Not only do they clean you and feel 10x better, you can almost infinitely re-use them, just chuck them in your washing bag. You can also heat them up on your vent heater outlet or in a microwave for 10-15 secs ;) Pay yourself instead of the wet-wipe manufacturers!

I've had this a few times. Not myself but HGV driver's asking where a developer is. I work on building sites installing utilities. Usually happens when you have a site with multiple developer's working on different phases. Most of the time seeing I work between them I can point the driver where they need to go. Add I know the frustration on trying to find a new site where the postcode doesn't match where you need to go. Such fun.

If you have trouble sleeping due to cab noise I recommend using ear plugs. After a couple of weeks you get used to them and you will have the deepest sleeps of your life. I use them (I'm a shift worker) and will always wear them for the rest of my life.

Had the address problem a few times always now ask for site contact name and details. Sometimes they don't know so get them to ring the customer and get the info, really p**s of some firms but makes them realise they know where they are but I don't. Great vlog Luke take care on that road.

You mainly use POA when you’ve been told your job/tip won’t be ready for a certain amount of time! There’s a lot of people who f k about with POA to try and maximise hours and pay! Usually agency drivers as most firms don’t want their drivers using POA!!!

I’m on a daily rate of £150 a day regardless of hours works or loads delivered. On a night out I get paid an extra £26.

I had no idea rates were still that low mate. 10 quid pH for a 15 hour day or 12.50 for a 12 hour day is a bit low. And 26 quid for being the night watchman for the whole night instead of being at home with your family is certainly not what I expected.

I understood that if you supply nothing more than your services as a driver, then the end user (the haulage company) now has to determine your employment status and if you are just a driver, they can only pay you as PAYE and not LTD. Maybe I'm missing something if you can still be a self employed driver since IR35?

simple mate, don't listen to the doubters and go and have an assessment on c+e and you will see that it isn't as scary as you might think. You can now book the new c+e off road training and test covering the reverse and couple/uncouple before you even head out on the road so will have a good idea what it's all about as well as already having passed part of the practical test.

You are talking to a third generation Truck Driver. I’m fully aware what it used to be like seeing as my name has been in the industry for the last 70 years. Road Legends is something we absolutely aspire to be, as we all should. But at the end of the day it’s just the name. The band “ The Killers” never actually killed anybody. It’s a publicity name to get people talking. (Of which are quite clearly Does) It’s also a name that inspires a new generation of drivers to join the industry. Yes we are looked down on as a profession and the only people who have a problem with the word Road Legends are other truck drivers. Maybe they are the problem Why is your surname Bee? Are you a bee? Are you a future bee? No it’s just a name…. In the future, I plan to write my own children’s book. a book which is not only educational to children but also promotes the industry in a positive way. I’m trying to help the industry grow, trying to help provide more of a positive light on the industry, and I upload videos to try and give an insight to new potential drivers wanting to join. Literally all I try to do is promote the industry. Being called a Road Legends does that whether you like it or not. And as I said genuinely speaking the only people who have a problem with the name are people who think they deserve it more. Or people who have been in the industry for years. Not only as an individual, but as part of the Road Legends, between us we have raised thousands and thousands of pounds for charity, we’ve helped raise awareness on multiple awareness days and we go out of our way to bring a smile to anyone’s face who wants to meet us. Can I ask what you are doing to promote the industry?
