Boot camp is not what you think it is. You're almost done at this point and it's been a wild ride I know. But don't let that pride leave you once you graduate. Keep it with you because it will make you stand out from your peers. Once you are in and get out of boot and MCT you will see a different side of the Marine Corps that isn't nearly as prideful as the first two things you go through. Don't get sucked into the "oh this sucks. The Marine Corps sucks. I hate it it's stupid. And you're stupid if you're motivated." Ignore those ignorant fucks and continue to push yourself hard and work to be better than everyone you can be.

Important thing to mention - MEPS will not give you a boarding pass. They will give you an itinerary, SO BRING YOUR STATE ISSUED ID TO THE AIRPORT.

If you already have a Navy Fed account, you will still have to make a second Navy Federal bank account. You'll be able to merge them after the crucible, but you can't just use an existing account. Females/PI Males, GO WITH NAVY FED. You have the CHOICE, but the Parris Island Credit Union is ONLY in Parris Island!

I have previous self harm scars, Im done with that now but I was wondering how they would deal with that even if they are all healed and everything?

JUJU 21 this is super late but if you tell them that they are self harm, it's an immediate disqualification

The only tip I can give you without directly saying lie to people would be "they only know what you tell them." I'd say hide them but the problem with that is when you're at MEPS they check your body with a flashlight to ensure there aren't any weird marks on your body (i got DQd for some marks on my arm and she immeditaly marked me down as self harm...) So basically your scars will be seen. Definitely don't admit to them being self harm but if you can manuever your way into letting them agree with you getting a psych eval that proves you have no suicidal ideations then maybe you can get a waiver and join
