Ah, I knew I'd come to the right place! I'm working on a project for Burning Man that involves embedding an OpenThereminV4 in an arm-less manikin, with the knobs exposed through the chest, and leaving it (+ solar panel & battery) out in the desert for random passerbys to play with next year. It's named "Mannequin Skywalker". I love running it through a Zoom MS-70CDR, but I don't want less-than-sober Burners to have to deal with menu diving, so I was thinking of taking a few afford-a-board pedals (delay, reverb, and maybe a chorus?), and embedding them in the abdomen of the mannequin. I'm also looking at some DIY FX pedals. At this point, I think I'm more concerned about how to handle the desert heat. I'm debating building an active cooling system into Mannequin Skywalker and/or building a small shaded structure around it.

Especially with the 3, 7 and 8 setting on the Albie in combination with how you moved your hand, it kind of sounded like those warning sirens that warns against war attacks or other extreme situations. Those that says "go indoors now! Turn on you radio or tv to figure out what's going on!". Every year here in Denmark we have the 1st wedensday of may as a day where the sirens go off for like 10 mins or so to remind the people of the sound and the meaning. They do get tested every night without sound though to ensure that they work. The sound definetly sounds warning as per design. Kind of omnious in a way. Like the world is about to go under or something 😂

Check out the Moog Theremini. It's got a ton of presents, and can be set to only sound the pitches in a selected scale, including major, minor, and pentatonic scales. It's idiot proof and musical.
