No it’s actually very much the opposite, she’s trying to hard to train him to be a calm idealistic dog, which causes stress over long periods of time. She’s trying so hard it’s wearing her thin which causes a short temper.. which in turn can cause abusive scenarios. It’s ALOT more complex in her case, she’s not just abusive by nature. The dog type she got can also be extremely hard to train, takes more of an owner unbothered by jumping and other behaviors, she’s strictly training the dog which is causing a strain between the two, it sucks because I KNOW she loves that dog. It’s just a bad combo honestly but it’s much much more complex then this comment states. This comment is actually the exact opposite.
@moosenman3 жыл бұрын
@@FARSIKATZ Well maybe if you’re going to start hitting the dog, you should give it to someone else, regardless of why the abuse occurred. Abuse is still abuse. @@FARSIKATZ I think she wanted a Doberman because they’re pretty dogs but if she would’ve done her homework she would’ve known you have to train them or even get them trained. @@FARSIKATZ Stress can cause you to lash out but it doesnt cause you to spit on the dog. That's one of the most disrespectful things you can do, most people won't even do that to HUMANS, it shows complete disregard and disrespect for the life of her pet. It was malicious. Maybe she loves her dog, but she clearly can't take care of him. Once you realize you cant take care of your dog properly, you do two things: step up or give him to someone who can. There are certain kinds of pranks that are amusing with animals. Not ones that in anyway could injure or torment them though(Since as you said they don't understand, also I fully agree that she was mistreating the dog). Namely I recall one where the owner held a blanket up in front of them self and then let it drop while moving elsewhere so that the owner 'vanished' the reaction from their pets was just hilarious as they tried to figure out where their owner went "They were here a moment ago!"
@Tazkar5 жыл бұрын
@raisin and popcorn1234 I agree and I am not trying to defend Brooke in the slightest. I was just remarking that it's not inherently 'wrong' to play a prank on your pet. More that you have to do so in a manner far different than you would another human because as Mystic said they don't understand. So you have to make sure you are not inadvertently tormenting them with your 'prank'
@bernhardinek5 жыл бұрын
Well I don't think pranks are too bad, but it depends what they are. If it's more of a game, I think it's okay. For example, Putting a dog treat under a cup and starting a timer to see how long it takes for your dog to find and eat the treat. Nothing harmful there. In fact, it might even be good mental stimulus for them. It all depends what kinds of "pranks" or games you are playing with your dog.

And then around like 11pm they are satisfied and tired out. So much energy in big dogs, it's important to let them stretch their legs. One spits on a living thing because they want to dehumanize & degrade it. That sort of impulse springs from intense feelings of hatred & resentment/contempt. When the dog didn't comply with her wishes to calm down (after she got him excited in the first place, no less), she felt this intense hatred towards him, as though she was taking his playfulness as a personal attack against her. @devoutlem81375 жыл бұрын
The thing that makes her most guilty in my eyes (other than the blatant evidence of animal abuse, obviously) is how reminiscent her language is of domestic abuse. I had an abusive father who abused my mother when I was a child and she told me how he'd blame her and she'd feel like it was her fault if he got mad or hurt her and the whole "not real abuse" thing is the same way my mother was made to feel about her abuse and a big reason she didn't leave sooner. Seeing movies where women were covered in bruises head to toe after being abused and the way her husband acted like nothing he was doing was abusive made her believe that the little bruises she had and the guns being held to her head were just the result of her being a bad wife and she thought it was what she deserved. She is gaslighting so hard in her apology and that is the exact behavior I would expect from an abuser.

I think the biggest and most concerning tell is actually something that wasn't mentioned in the video. When we see this clip, there's a moment where she simply sticks out her hand to point at her dog, and it flinches. Anyone can do things in a moment of anger (Not that any of that was close to justifiable by a moment of anger) but your pet flinching at a sudden extension of the hand? That is indicative of a trend of this violent nature and that the dog is somewhat fearful of her, and combined with the rest of the footage creates a dreadful picture of the conditions Sphinx is under

The kind of love that exists between owner and pet is one of the purest and truest things I’ve ever encountered, and the thought of someone taking that love and devotion and twisting it into something as ugly and horrible as what Brooke did to her dog is despicable. My cat is one of the greatest things in my life, and I can’t even think about something happening to him that would cause him pain for a moment because when I do I start crying. He is my best friend, but he’s also my responsibility. Brookes dog is her responsibility, and she abused it. Brooke hurt him so much that he attacked other dogs, flinched when around her, and wasn't trained at all. SHE was a bad owner.
@charleenlangley87093 жыл бұрын
@@the_great_mammon Even when a dog has issues, it's up to the owner to identify and figure out how to deal with them. For example, my foster mum's dog, Rebel, was a beautiful Black Labrador. He was raised in a female-dominated environment, and only really tolerated 2 men - my foster dad, and my foster sister's husband. Because the first gave him scraps and the second would give him scruff massages that would have him flopped on the floor and snoring like a chainsaw. So Rebel didn't mind attention and affection from women and children because that consisted of 90% of his interaction at home, what he grew up with as the norm. One instance of this causing 'issue' was an old man up the woods who tried to pet Rebel - Rebel deliberately moved away and gave the man an obvious 'don't touch me' look. He didn't bark or growl, but it was very clear how he moved away and then postured himself that he didn't want the man touching him. This man then moved to touch him again, and this time I stepped in, telling the man that he doesn't want to be touched and he needs to leave him alone. There was little risk of Rebel hurting the man, and I stepped in only because I knew my old boi's boundaries - I was 9 years old when we first got him and 14 by the time I walked him, and I walked him until I was 19, because he passed away shortly after I moved out, and I walked him only a few times when visiting. Another example is of a retired Greyhound we met while at a market - his vest announced that he was fostered, looking for a forever home, and to go to this website/phone number/email if interested. My foster mum loved Greyhounds and spoke to the man, and we learnt that due to his abusive race-owners being men, he now had a phobia of men. This was of course much worse than our dog - Rebel wasn't afraid of men, he just wasn't interested in them (tho he did see them as a potential threat if they got too close to me, he showed signs of being wary then). This dog only trusted his male rescuers, and that was after months of building trust, and so they wanted him to go to a female owner where he wouldn't have to be immediately subjected to the anxieties of being around men from the get-go to begin the healing process. These are mild issues a dog might have, compared to aggressive tendancies, but the point is that if you have a dog, it's *your* job to work out their quirks and find good solutions.

@@the_great_mammon Not at all! All dogs have odd little quirks, and as said, it's up to us to sort out what to do. A dog cannot verbally say "I don't like this person, get them away from me", so you gotta take their body language into account, and if it happens with a particular gender or certain people, you gotta take that into consideration. Sometimes they born like it, sometimes how they were raised causes it. You can't fault the dog, either way.

This is the first time in my life I haven’t had at least one dog, I can name and remember each one for over 50 years. Judy, Soames and then Lassie were the dogs that had an affect on my childhood and early adulthood. With Otis, Makeda and Franklyn effecting my adult life and Otis especially saw me through some bad times. I’m no longer able to walk a dog and I’m often too ill to even go out on my mobility scooter so it just wouldn’t be fair. I’m one of those people who like both dogs and cats and thankfully we have a brilliant 21 year old cat that has more character than any cat I've known. He is costing us a fortune in pet bills as he has a dodgy liver and a growth on his lower bowel, I don’t resent a penny and he is still very happy and spoilt. When you get a pet, be it from a good breeder, rescue place or the newspaper you sign a contract with that animal to treat it kindly and with respect. She did not do that, she used that dog for clout and nothing more. As for the guy with the miniature schnauzer, really? You let someone throw your dog around and you did nothing? You’re not on any higher ground in my book. To me she’s just like the Stauffers and has the same mentality of using a living being for clout. If you read my comment, which I doubt, I did it on purpose as it’s a pet hate of mine too. It’s like people mixing up 'lend' and 'borrow' and 'who' and 'whom'.

What I heard was "I can't control myself or my anger so he better learn to control himself and act how I want when I want or I'll abuse him". The poor thing didn't do anything wrong, she made it clear that it was PLAYTIME. They are large, high energy dogs. She got him riled up and he wanted to keep playing and she didn't so instead of telling him sternly to stop and sit down she chose to scream, beat him and spit on him. He is terrified of her, he flinches every time she moves, so does the cat. It's horrifying to watch. This girl is a psychotic abuser and if she was male she would have been charged with abuse and her social media presence would be OBLITERATED. #cancelled But because she has stupid, like-minded and probably abusive 12-year-old girls obsessed with her she still has fans. And somehow she did not get charged for the abuse of this animal. That case should be reopened, no judge here in Canada would allow her to get away with this. The US has such a crooked justice system, this is unbelievable. People like her and Onision abuse people and animals, expose themselves and never suffer the legal or social consequences that they should because of DUMB, young fans who are going to do whatever these influencers do. There's going to be an influx of young girls in hospital with dog bites after this, you watch.

Jayce Nothing wrong with cropping and docking if done correctly by a qualified vet. The same people who say it’s cruel are also the same people that rip their dogs reproductive organs out when they’re still growing puppies which can increase cancers risks, increase adrenal issues, joint issues, weight gain, coat changes, increase aggression, etc. That’s totally okay since it’s makes the owners life more convenient and they can’t be bothered to do their research on how early spay/neuter negatively effects dogs later in life.
@emberznebula70405 жыл бұрын
Cropping and docking does not lessen the quality of a dogs life. The crop and dock is a common practice and if done properly has more benefits then harms. (there are no harms, btw) Spay and neuter, is a common thing and has many risks both to the health of a dog and has risks during the surgery. Most dogs are spayed/neutered prematurely (in particular, as late spay and neuter can be beneficial) which can cause issues to bones, causes some forms of cancer, overall structure of the dogs chest and face, and hormones balances during development. Like stunting a child during puberty. But no one goes around calling THAT abuse. Nah fam, crop and dock is where the abuse is. That's what we need to fight against.

1. If she didn’t like the dogs behaviour, she should’ve be on top of training when Sphinx was a pup 2. She has already in a way abused the pup by docking it’s tail and ear trimming. Those things don’t naturally occur in that particular breed, so she did it for aesthetics and appearance. 3. There are many ways to go about instilling the knowledge that you don’t like that behaviour, ignoring the dog until a behaviour you want is given is just one example. This woman should never have gotten the dog, it was obvious from the start that she was doing it for views and didn’t have the right intentions for the dog. As someone who is an animal behaviourist and trainer (by no means an absolute expert), having looked at her dog videos it is clear that a lack of training and exercise seem to be the causes of the issues she has with dog. Whenever she asks him to sit and such he ignores her, and he never settles as he jumps all over her, the house and the cat. From what I gather she uses a prong collar not to "correct" the dog or because he's got "high drive", it's because he doesn't get much exercise and hasn't been trained to walk on a lead calmly. If she exercised him more, did training with him and was consistent with both of these things this situation could have been avoided (maybe, even if he was calm and trained she may have still hit him seeing as she clearly has some issues). I do remember her mentioning in a vid that she loved the attention she got when in public with the dog. I find this saddening as Dobermans are used as sport and protection dogs due to their energy and drive, abusing a dog as he's irritating you as you can't mentally and physically stimulate him is saddening...
