What J.K telling is true, I have been recently moved to Europe. What I observe here in my work everyone has to own and decide by themselves in general, you can consult with collogues or boss but no one is going to decide for yourself. Whereas my observation in India, is mostly whatever the parent, teacher, boss tells you follow it so the brain is always looking for instruction from others to work and for taking decision.

There is nothing new in respected JK's statements, not only on this aspect but on many. You please read Bhagavad Gita last chapter (18th chapter). Full freedom given to each and every individual to decide on their own even on our ancient philosophies ! Also pl read and contemplate on its various thoughts. Our ancient wisdom stresses Q & A method and not to blindly accept anything without reasoning. No compulsion on anything and thrusting. If people misunderstand, we cannot blame the scriptures. In fact, after foreign invasion only, all these things slowly disappeared. Apart from day-to-day life, even you can find management lessons, with fair and impartial attitude, in Bhagavad Gita. Whenever you read, each time it reveals new facets of truth and knowledge. It is rather strange that while westerners slowly started realising the greatness, universal appeal and vision of Bhagavad Gita, which are applicable for ever, our own people are reluctant to dive deeply into the philosophies of Bhagavad Gita with open-mindedness, by still clinging to their pre-conceived notions ! Regards. V. GIRIPRASAD (68)

All the comments aside, in India people's minds are trained to the situation of "the cup is full" and so they cannot percieve the truth. The cause is mainly strong religious beliefs and social media, the stories of epics and scriptures, the holy books although helps someone to how to live a life, but in reality are taking the concept of free will and strength to analyse, we as a society are becoming more and more dependent on religion and it's a sad thing. I have seen Superconsciousness and beliefs turn into perception there, even if u create a God with specific features and believe that he she it is real strongly enough u might see that in actuality from your third eye. It's a horrible reality of religion.

@@vgiriprasad7212 Scriptures were written by very few people (percentage). Societies did not follow them. Even Arjun did not understand much. Scriptures indicate that there were knowledgeable people; but, does not mean that it is applicable to the masses.

On 26th day of November 1949, constituent assembly adopted the Constitution of India, which was consequently enacted on 26th January 1950 thus giving birth to new Dharma which replaced preceding law of Manu. I guess that's when bhraminical law based on Manu's book came to an end, overnight.

Perhaps rebalancing is happening in India. Did they not neglect the material aspects of live ?
@pharaohakhneton9553
@pharaohakhneton9553 4 жыл бұрын
If we keenly observe our past ,we can find traces of our engagement with secular aspects of life side by side the spiritual aspects but at one point our history, the emphasis shifted and asceticism took over our lives shifting our minds to other-worldly affairs,which led to total negligence of material side of life. We have have not yet totally recovered from the after-effects. In fact ,what we are witnessing now is a sort of movement to the other extreme of materialism as an effort to compensate the lost time like the way a pendulum moves to the other extreme. We are ,therefore ,witnessing so much of emphasis on material development, in exclusion to everything else. In the process , our past culture and the spirit of it's critical self- examination in the light of our actual spiritual heritage ,not the outward religious aspects, superstition etc is lost.

@@pharaohakhneton9553 Yes. We can't completely neglect the Yin and live only with the Yang or vice versa. Matter and Mind, Internal and External, Self and The World and so on. There has to be a synthesis between these two elements. A symbiotic relationship, a relationship which involves cooperation, coexistence between these active and passive forces. To live in harmony and balance and to make progress with sustainability.

Disheartening to listen to this. The complaint is that they are tolerant, have diverse and conflicting views, carry lofty ideas of transcending the suffering of life and the Upanishads etc are complained about. The scriptures in India are just suggestions and pointers (as K calls himself), they are not commandments violating which one is threatened to rot in hell for eternity. India must take pride in itself, the biggest beauty is they admit the limits of their knowledge and revere sages without any ugly bigotry and following blindly. Krishnamurti is a gem to cherish for the whole humanity but putting donkeys and stallions in the same stable is abominable.

@ykshay
@ykshay Жыл бұрын
I recalled that. However in this context I think he was referring to the division and inattention in the brain. Sure, the brain is being used, but it's mostly cluttered, there is no emptiness and space left for deep observation. The brain is pre-occupied so we aren't really making use of it although it is still being used for something. If ur daydreaming, the brain is still under usage but it's not really actively used for anything, yet it is still filled with processes, do you see what we're getting at?
