My goodness!!! This hurricane is awful. It is heartbreaking to read about the isolation and lack of water and supplies in areas that are cut off. I just read a “letter from Banner Elk NC”. It was heartbreaking. You can detect the desperation. Thank you for the efforts in this collaboration. ❤❤❤

Thank you for hosting a great collaboration, and thanks to all that collaborated with you. I learned a bit which I appreciate, most things we do already but its always great to re-check yourself. The hurricane was nasty. Thinking of all the people who were nailed by it.

Thank you for this collaboration. I think we all should learn from Hurricane Helene. Where I live, 600 miles inland, we had around 4' of rain and over 130,000 people lost power for over 24 hours, some are still in the dark. You never know when or what will hit. Thanks for helping us think of what we might be missing.

Michelle, you have done such an awesome job with this collaboration. It has been fantastic. I have actually learned some new things and skills and I’m so grateful to you and all of the collaborators! Sometimes, even though we may feel we have all of our bases covered, something like this collaboration comes along and reminds of either things we’ve forgotten about or things we haven’t considered. That’s the beauty of this collaboration, in my opinion. So thankful to have all of these resources and wonderful people to help plan along the way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone!

Thanx Michelle, thanx collabs…. We couldn’t do it without y’all! As far as lighting something I learned in a separate video ( not attached to this collaboration ) from Leisa @ Sutton Daze is to have a grill light for your stove hood. I always hate trying to prepare the evening meal during a power outage. No matter how many candles and lanterns I have in the kitchen I can’t ever SEEEEEEEEE in the pot. That grill light is going to be a GAME CHANGER! I’m ready for you Buffalo winter!!! Thanx again everyone! Stay safe y’all! Happy prepping and stay vigilant!

Thank you for this collaboration, it was very helpful to me. And you are so correct on the issues with hurricane Helena. I have saw so many posts where they said they didn't have water, food or anything to sustain them. That is a scary thought. Preppers aren't crazy just thinking out of the box. We never know what can happen. Thanks again!!!

My husband is a truck driver and travels the area on I40 All the time. It happen he was home or would have been in the area. I always have him stocked up on the truck because he has been stranded in ice/snow storms, floods and even when the 2020 issue happen. To a trucker it is their home so they need to be ready to wait out many possibilities that can happen.

Thank you for this collaboration. Great reminders on the many uses for vinegar and baking soda. We save plasticware that we get from takeout when not used and buy paper goods that are going out of season. Our family calls those headlights chore lights. Thanks to you and all the channels involved for this collab.

Thank you, Michelle! Excellent advice on the vinegar. I use it as a multipurpose cleaner, in my laundry, in my drains, and it is the only window cleaner we use, along with many other uses you mentioned.

Thank you for all your hard work to put this collab together and keep running. You have covered the most needed part of being prepared you gave us a start of items needed , without going crazy and spending alot of money for something you may or many not know how to use. So Important to atleast take baby steps it all is very helpful....

Thanks for the information. There was a lot that I didn't know. One thing I do for stick matches is I take a old medicine bottle and put the stick matches into it, then I put the striker part into the inside of the cap. These bottles seal very well and this way everything stays dry and I have them when I need them. I sit them around the house just in case and I carry some with me in my go bag. Another thing you can do for the outside of these stick match bottles is wrap either duck tape around it or paracord, just another way to make things multi purpose.
