And authors of Abridged specifically mentioned that they didn`t chose something certain for reference, it`s all of it at once.

Fate abridged is absolutely a passion project from diehard fans! Archer recapping the dangers of projection magic is a lot more clear than the original show I think; now that you've seen Heaven's Feel it's even more obvious but the abridged series does a really good job at including deeper lore and visual novel material in the exposition. Even the joke about leaving Emiya and Rin alone is a reference to the fact that one of the NSFW scenes in the VN is right around that part. The voicework is also REALLY good, I could easily see some of these VAs getting cast for mainstream voicework on games or shows
