The only problem is that no team is sure who the best player will be from 2-10. That's why they might consider moving down and getting extra assets because the 10th pick can end up being the second best player in the future. I hate when people talk about taking the best player available like they can predict the future and know now who the best player available is. Bottom line is that our opinion is irrelevant because we don't have all the information that the teams have. Can't wait for the draft so we can stop talking about this haha

That is why the Francophones got so mad when the Canadiens had the opportunity under Timmins to pick a Francophone and just would pass on him. We have seen situation where players that were passed on were way better than the one they picked. I think the current administration is a bit less francophobe than the Timmins years. You need guys that can talk to French media and relying on 1 or 2 guys puts a lot of pressure on those few individuals. Another thing I think local guys tend to give you more than a Swedish, a Russian or a Finnish. I think there is a pride phenomenon that really is not the same for a European player.
@ryansUtubechannel3 ай бұрын
Why hate? As a hockey fan, It's fun to speculate. It's interesting to learn about the players and think about who your team might get. See what everyone thinks. See who knows what they are talking about and learn who doesn't have a clue. If you hate the speculation, stop watching, turn on the draft and know nothing about what you re watching.

@MagicMike88883 ай бұрын
@@ryansUtubechannelI'm not hating. My point was that there is a good chance that most teams really like 3 or 4 players in this top 10. And I bet that most of them are really unsure who will end up be the best. That's why it would be logical to maybe move down a few spots. They would still have at least one of those players available. The price would have to be right obviously. For me demidov is number 2. Flip a coin for the rest. Interviews with the players is a determining factor which ultimately influences the decision

Tij is 6 months younger and will have an extra full season to develop while Lindstrom recovers to 100%. Tij has the foundation to become the hockey player he could possibly be in his prime. Iggy is a play driving goal scorer. Is 6f 185lb at 17. He probably won’t make an impact until he’s fully developed but neither will Lindstrom. Lindstrom has the physicality now and needs to develop the speed he processes the game, Iginla has natural offensive instinct who hasn’t filled up his body. Lindstrom played multiple sports while growing up while Iggy was literally born to play in the nhl. Our coach has a background in developing young hockey talents.. Marty and Iggy are ideal for each other. Meanwhile our fans are mesmerized by size. At the time of this post, we currently have a 6’3+ forward on each projected lines and 4 6’3+ defencemen in our pairings/prospect pool plus Matheson at 6’2. We can ice 2-3 big guys at all times if everyone’s healthy. Size is not the primary need of this team so why risk the pick. Draft Iginla and focus on a proper development that the management and training staff is hired for instead of praying for injuries to fully disappear from a player that is projected high for his physical assets.

Disc herniations are extraordinarily common. Fans who say that they wouldn’t touch Lindstrom may indeed be correct, but that would be a lucky guess. Discs can be shaved or replaced. They can bulge posteriorly (at the back) and pinch a nerve/nerves in the Cervical , Thoracic or Lumber spinal cord. If medical reports are positive, there is absolutely no reason why Lindstrom could not be a very productive hockey player his entire career. Teams will know the report and have their experts analyze them. I trust that expertise. They will know.

As a person at 42 mind you who just had a disc repair surgery. There is too many different types of disc injuries. If he has a basic disc hernia, after a bit of time, the portion of the disc that is protruding will dissolve and the rest of disc repairs it’s self and he’ll be perfectly fine, it’s all about time and giving the proper time. It’s all about the core training he does honestly and since he works with Gallys dad he’ll be fine. Especially if he says he’ll be good. He’ll be good

For instance, switching picks with Calgary, with Calgary also taking Josh Anderson and tossing in their 2nd round pick.
