I hair going with an SN95 fuel rail... I think Is a cheap little fuel upgrade and you can use the newer type of injectors after which have you better spray pattern I think... I think it's called an eV style injector... great video brother.... Nice set up you got going ...

I originally used a GT40 intake my 90 notchback because I just loved the look but eventually went to the Street Heat TFS intake. Didn't like the look but wanted the flow and flow they did along with my TFS170 heads, what a blast that car was to drive

A few. I already had shorty headers and didn't need to spin more money. Also longtubes are a pain in the butt to work around and lastly they have a habit of heating up starters to the point of failure.

@@GearHead704 Understandable on the starter issue. I loved my long tubes for my 90 GT. In that area, I wrapped the headers for that reason. Thanks for the reply.

I've got them on my convertible as well (maybe 15 yers now), and I know I got some blue burn in, but I ended up liking that look myself.

GearHead704 I have an extra set for sale new pin box never installed. I was thinking about bring them to ford takeover but I don’t know. They are .the 190cc not 170cc. Was going to build a 331 but cash dried up. Haha it happens

Don't know for sure, but I would guess the BoX R type. Your best bet is to give trickflow a call.

We had the same combo but changed to a "B" cam. The TF 1 was super fat . Made good power, chipped it with 2 tunes no help. As soon as we went to the "B" cam smell was 75% better same horse power numbers . 340-345 on dyno.@12° with 1.6 rockers. Also made peak at 5400rpm but didn't fall off tell 5800rpm. Just some info.

Thanks, I think that's the most power i've heard of a "B Cam" making, that's pretty awesome. It'll be interesting to see if I have issues with the TFS stage 1.

@@GearHead704 I talked to my daughter and I actually made a mistake on the heads they're actually c9ve with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust comp beehive springs and 1.7 rockers. I lose track of some of the builds.

U can get intake head machine to the size of gaskets holes and you can get computer chip for ecu make 360hp if you tune it makes more

Yeah I figured I already had so many other trickflow parts why not go that route. 2900 pounds I think, so will be fun, but i'm excited bout your C6 turbo man. That thing is going to be such such a beast.

Nothing I know of. I'm reusing them. They were the trickflow 170cc heads that came on it.

@@GearHead704 Matt what were those old headers some Chinese 💩 I got lucky I have a 92 GT to it runs in everything frame rails are shot but somebody put Ford Racing headers on they ain't those crappie headers that doesn't have the plates welded to the tubes coming from the heads they look just like ur BBK 's but not so pretty lol!!!! 👍👍

I like the build so far great job !! I run the same head and intake set up but with a N41 cam and bigger injectors 302w .020" over....6 dyno pulls showed an average of 310hp to the wheels torque was about the same. 24s are not enough imo you can bump the fp up but to 43psi and you might get away with making 230 to the wheels. But yeah your starving that engine of fuel. Remember fuel and air make hp not just a bunch of air! So those 24s along with a bunch of good flowing air = pre-detonation although not as severe on na engine it's still not good for the piston skirts. FUEL=ENGINE SAFETY To get to a compression ration of 9:5.1 your looking at domed pistons 58cc chamber heads and a shorter deck height. I would like to advise you that with those heads and I'm assuming pistons that are .030" over and valve relived cut you're most likely at 8.7:1 cr. I dont want you to assume that simply slapping on some heads gives you a 1 point compression bump on a 302/304/306 right out of the box and that an extra 120-150whhp is that easily achievable. It just simply isn't.

That's really interesting since trickflow used the 24 pound injectors in their engine dyno on their site with this same combination. They made 350 at the crank I believe. I was thinking I'll get 270 to 285 at the rear wheels, but I guess we'll find out. 310 is awesome by the way. That's all my 331 made with the GT40 intake. I'm glad you're enjoying the build videos. I think you mean the shorty headers are going to hurt airflow and power. Compared to equal length or long tube headers you are correct. However, compared to stock manifolds they'll do a little bit better. I'm not going for max power on this car anyway.

Can't go wrong with Trick Flow. I'm with GFunk on it being "up in your face" advertising...but they absolutely make a very good Foxbody product. Your build is gonna be Badass👍 I'm most likely going Mass Air conversion too, when it's time.

I personally would reconsider 24lb injectors for your set up,leaving alot of power and going to strain them with the 170 cc heads,you will see once you put it on the dyno and you see the power curve

That will be interesting to see Joe. I know that Trickflow recommends 24 for this setup, so we'll see. It will be dyno tuned, so If it really does rob it of power I guess I'll get a new set, i'll just be sad at the $300 I burned on the 24's LOL.

Decent proven combination that has been done 100's of times. Had a similar combo in two of my mustangs., Only thing different is I went with 30# injectors to not max out the duty cycle on the injectors. I'd recommend a PRO M MAF and a 255 fuel pump.

@@GearHead704 go with the 255 .. no worries about excessive heat as you will be moving more fuel with that setup. If you are thinking of a power adder just step up to a 340 now. You'd rather have more fuel than go lean on the top end with a smaller pump. I would strongly recommend an adjustable FPR like Kirban to help tune the car. Pro M 75 or larger on the MAF. You want the MAF to be at least as big as the TB opening. Avoid C&L or Granetelli

Great combination... Synchronizing is important. Good torque & little weight will make that such a fun car. Enjoyed talking to you Saturday at the sawp meet. Keep turning them wrenches & it will be ready before you know it.
