I grew up in an ingredients home and Pinterest is my best friend. I find the main ingredient I wanna use and look up recipes on there. Some of my best dishes are from Pinterest. Also, I have a dinner subscription box that helps get some variety in there.

In our home we make a plan for roughly 5 meals and buy those ingredients but also keep basics in the house that we can make multiple different meal ideas with.

Hi. I was wondering if you have ever tried a vegetarian food for Snoop and his allergies? I recently learned that in rare cases dogs can be very allergic to animal protein. I've mentioned this before but don't know if you saw it. It would be worth a try. If that cleared up his goops it would save a ton in vet bills. Good luck!

I heard about this too, great idea to mention it 😊

Going off of this! Also look into a raw freeze dried diet/ freezing his regular kibble. It kills the mites that are still alive in regular kibble. My boyfriend works at a veterinary hopsital and this has helped his cats allergies tremendously
@tigerente137 ай бұрын
@@emilyjanssen939 those are called storage mites, my dog was allergic to them but I did immunotherapy shots on her for two years and most all her allergies cleared up!

mostly ingredient household but a healthy smattering of pre-made things, both now and when i was growing up (as if at 35 i'm actually a grown up lulz). all my baking is always from scratch, but we use a decent bit of pre-made thing for meals.

I am not sure what household I grew up in more of a Hamburger Helper, beanie weenies, chicken tonight (remember that, it was sauce in a can and all you needed was chicken). My household now is an ingredient household but it is a PLANNED ingredient household, I make a menu every week and stock up on what is needed for that menu. I am getting better at looking at what is left in the house (near the end of the week) if I need to fill a spot for a meal, but it is pretty basic when I do something like that.

Growing up we were an ingredients house to the point where i was a pre teen before i had boxed mac and cheese or potatoes. As an adult its a mix, i wish it was more ingredients but everyone here has sensory issues with food so its usually a safer bet to go with premade brands for the texture.

I grew up with both. Some days we'd collaborate as a family & make dinner & others we would have tv dinners. But I i was taught at a young age to cook because I was VERY interested in cooking so my mom & Grandma taught me starting when I was about 3 years old. I'm more interested in cooking my own meals than already prepared food lately. But on occasion I will eat out but rarely because I had bariatric surgery September of 2023 & the less i eat out is better. But there are some days its just not possible.

Wait… my question is how much have you thrown away… There quite a few things you can keep in the pantry. Where we run into bacteria or things going bad is temperature change. So if you keep things that can stay out of the fridge at room temp during its life it shouldn’t grow mold or get bad. If you start changing temps, in/out the fridge etc that’s where things can make mold,

If we have ingredients in our house they are already planned for being used for a meal (in general, there are a few pantry items I keep on hand in case of emergency but I don’t use them on a regular basis). If there are leftover ingredients they often get chucked once they go bad after dying a slow death in the fridge 😅
@jemma40127 ай бұрын
Definitely grew up in a pre-made dinners household, with the occasional meal made from scratch (lasagna/chilli/cottage pie). Frozen pizza, breaded chicken, chips (sorry, fries!) were my go to as a kid. I open the fridge and don’t see a meal, just stuff that I don’t know how to put together to make it into one!

You and your mom are fun together. Poor Blaze! He was expecting a treat and the poor old dog got none. Pavlov had his bell you got your box. You have a house full of pets: Meatstick, Stinky, Little Dog, Chicken Soup and Kitty. If your potato sprouts, plant it. I grew up in an ingredients house but occasionally we were allowed TV dinners. I myself am half meals, half ingredients.

Very upset that KZbin didn’t notify me of your upload again ☹️. I grew up in a meal household. But as got older kinda both. More of this is all that’s in the house and it will maybe, kinda, sorta make an edible combination 😅

I grew up in a house where Mum cooked dinner (your typical spaghetti bolognese or meat and three vegetables etc) = definitely an ingredient household BUT and we could do whatever we wanted for breakfast (cereal or toast) and lunch...Soooo that is where the crappy food came into it, i had all of the fish sticks, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, noodles for lunch 😊BUT always had a decent dinner. Now days, if 'nothing' is in my fridge, there is ALWAYS eggs on toast or ramen cooked with frozen vegetables to eat for dinner. It doesn't have to be fancy all of the time.
