I don’t even have children and I still feel like life is a constant cycle of work, cooking, dishes, cleaning house, laundry etc. I often think about how amazing moms are since they have little ones to care for and clean up after too! ❤ we are all out here just trying our best and that’s what matters. Your home seems so full of love❤️

I was feeling so overwhelmed too. & then I discovered minimalism! It CHANGED & SAVED my life!!! I'm by no means a plain colours, grey, sad, minimalist - I'm a COSY, warm minimalist. Now, I can clean my entire house in 10 minutes. With a deeper clean once a week. I own NOTHINF that doesn't have its own place. Everything i own needs to be either 1. Practical 2. Joyful or 3. Sentimental ❤

The satisfaction & relief I felt once you cleaned your kitchen 🙌🏼 I bet once you did it you felt motivated again. You are definitely coming into your motherhood era. You are just flourishing right now. It’s the Holy Spirit. Ps. Girl how does Malakai go to bed when he’s napping until 4pm? 😳😳 I have to wake my my 2.5 yr old no later than 2pm if I plan on putting him to bed by 8pm. If I let him go past 2:30 he’s awake until 10pm

Hello Sarah, I have been following you forever, been always so inspired and everything, your energy is just so healing and uplifting. For years and years I´ve been thinking about trying your workout programme, so todayyy I woke up as 35yo mama of 3 and told myself : f***it, I am gonna do it. 😂 I wanted to write it somewhere publicly, maybe it helps lol. Sending hellos and hugs from Czech republic and thank you Sarah, you are part of my adulthood 💚

I'm a mom of 5 boys and I have just let go of a lot of expectations I've placed on myself as a mom. I struggle with the need to have control over everything. I try to keep the house somewhat decent of course but if it's a wreck oh well 🤷🏻 It's easier said than done to have this mindset a lot of the time. I remind myself that time is so precious I don't want to waste it stressed to the max because of a mess. Remember one day at a time ❤
@alishavial16846 ай бұрын
I definitely don’t think leaving it all to the end of the day and doing one big clean would work for your personality type Sarah! I find things much less daunting if when I clean as much as I can as I go. Not always possible but even little rules like touching something once (eg if you use oil, you touch it once as if taking it out of the cupboard, pouring it out and then putting it back into the cupboard straight away) … I also keep my dishwasher open during cooking so I can rinse and load as I go instead of having a pile of dishes in the sink when I’m done cooking! Not saying I know what it’s like being a mum and I’m sure it’s a lot harder with little ones, just sharing some tips I find really helpful as someone who is a very similar personality to you and who works three jobs inbetween juggling the majority of cooking/cleaning/home responsibilities 😊 Mums are incredible, I don’t even know how you guys do all of it with kids as well!

Honestly until I had my little one I didn’t appreciate truly how little you’re able to share online and how little of your day we see - like the feeding, changing, soothing, playing, it takes up such a large portion of the day, there’s only so much room for other activities unless someone else is doing those things

Then he wouldn't have spoiled the aesthetic, and he would have been a funny surprise for your sister. 😂 Also, so therapeutic to hear you give voice to how hectic a home can be, and you just want to sit down, or have some fun. Ah, I feel ya sister. My kitchen stuff has been disappearing, finally realized its increasingly making its way into the sandbox. 😵💫

Sarah you are so blessed and beyond. But I am 60 now and a Nana, the wisdom is that moms try to do too much. Think things out, and pay attention to what you really wanted the most that day. To organize yourself and help your dear friends. Order your dinner in, and have a group clean up with everyone helping. Or moms often want to accomplish it all but only have two hand some paid help goes a long way, Many hands make light work the saying goes. Have a grandma or a teen paid helper, jump in at your house for a few hours. Of course if your hubby cannot be there in the daytime. Always discern your own meter, how much sleep you had, and again what you want the most.

Sezzy, I relate to you! I have a 1.5 y/o and we just moved into our first home. We are painting in the rooms we aren’t living in and have plastic covering those floors. Our couch is currently in the kitchen. Our dishwasher started out not working, and that got us behind on dishes. The contents of our pantry is on our table and we’ve been eating meals in my son’s room. I’m about to start seeds to do a garden. We still have to build all the raised beds and work the ground. I work with kids once a week and my husband is working full time. It’s time to plan my grocery order. My nephew will be born in a couple months and I’m helping with the baby shower in a few weeks. It’s currently 2 am and I’m finishing his baby quilt. With partially painted closet doors in the background. I so relate to you with the crowded schedule and busyness. And when I clean my toddlers toys, he uncleans even faster. lol. BUT I am SOOOO excited for all of these things. So GRATEFUL and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Spring is here and I get to take my little guy out for fresh air in our first own yard after months of snow. I am so piled up with things to do, but SO HAPPY!! …oh yes, I forgot to get that second load of laundry going - another thing for tomorrow!!
