DISCLAIMER: I played with mods installed. Which may have had an impact. But literally every other person I’ve seen play this pack has had the same problems as me - even without mods. Which makes me believe it’s unlikely my mods causing the issues.

Once you download carls wedding mod, try this again, it should work pretty well you might have to reset sims a few times but still better than it was!

The discourse around this pack by game changers right now is quite upsetting to me, they're effectively saying, "yeah it's buggy... but look at the cute world and also we expected this so it's fine." I'm glad to hear someone with a following call this out because it's infuriating. At first I was 100% blaming EA for this and saying the sims team are innocent, but Carl released a very decent fix to the pack within DAYS of having early access. The sims team need to do better, AND EA needed to delay the pack because I'm sure the developers did voice their concerns. At the very least, they should issue you with a refund, so it's sad to see that refunds aren't even an option. Like you said, they're taking advantage of their loyal player base, which isn't cool. We're used to bugs and poor-quality gameplay, but there is no excuse for releasing something that doesn't even do 10% of what it says on the tin to a playable standard. I was so excited for this pack and now there's no way I'm going to put another penny into this franchise until they stop treating us like fools.

@@youresinningtoo3996 what we will get in sims 5 the first time we open it: CAS where you can only make a male Sim with 1 type of hair, beard, shirt... and the women are behind a pay wall. Once you finish creating your male Sim you go to the world but it's behind a pay wall and if you pay for it then you have only one (1) free 15x15 and the other one (1) 40x40 is behind a pay wall. When you create your house you get charged for every wall, window, door, floor tiles, wall paint, roof... that is what I see sims 5 being like

That past few diners I made the chef would just get stuck out front on the lawn and not go inside to cook. I looked it up to see if it was my doing and apparently it can just happen. After spending hours on building the perfect spot you can’t even use it and have to load it on a new property hoping it works and it doesn’t always lol.

Exact same issues with or without mods in my game. The base game wedding was literally more functional than this. For an event that many people see as either sacred or as a life milestone or even just an event they've dreamed about since they were young has been made into absolute trash. The spousal kiss has a headbutt animation and the other their faces don't even touch. The slow dance is like middle school awkward. I could go on... It's fully non playable, tedious and edges against making a mockery of an event many treasure.

To plan the wedding in advance you have to use the calendar! Same goes for basically everything else, if you have the option to do it on the phone it will always start immediately.

I got the pack yesterday and encountered nearly every single glitch (and more) in the video. BUT, the wedding ceremony starting immediately is your fault. If you try planning any type of event (birthdays, house parties etc.) through the phone, they'll start as soon as you click OK. If you wanna plan them for later you need to use the calendar (that is now in the base game).

You're going to need to use the carls sims guide wedding mod (it's free thank goodness) he has fixed a lot of the issues & i believe he is still working on a few things. That did help & i had best results turning off autonomy in settings i think under gameplay? Turn that off & get the free mod that should get you working but you still may have to reset the sims a few times which is rather annoying. Also to plan-plan a wedding event you would need to go to calendar and select date then select add wedding event on that specific date, which allows you to create a time but this did NOT work for me cause it wouldn't show BOTH bride&groom parties so i imagine another glitch or maybe just me. Hope that helps sweetpea

None of those Simmers have the best interest of the players, they are EA butt lickers. There I said it. People should be outraged by this! A billion dollar company can't put out a working game! Honestly, even overlooking the pretty major bugs and the pack not working, it's all micromanagement like you said. Nobody does anything by themselves. What they should have done is have you plan the ceremony rituals beforehand (in that ugly menu) but also give players a default ceremony for those that can't be bothered to customize it. And then have the wedding play out how you set it up

Basicly i'm the same annoyd about the Utube simers as the EA team . All content creators seam to be far up EA's as.. They keep telling themself that it is ok to have some bugs, that it wasn't in its final state and that the EA team is so fcking hard working that they can get away with murder. Bulshit OK?
