your the only person that talked about how peaceful it is to have that alone time in the hospital with baby. My hubby spends the afternoon and leaves to be with the kids and dogs over night and he comes sometime the next day and I Looove that time to bond with the baby with no distractions and its not because I dont want him there its just so nice to have quiet and bonding time. I just need hubby to pick me up lol

Hi, I know majority of your viewers are from the states but as an international viewer I appreciate all the things you mention. The hospital I'm going is a public one. They don't even provide water to drink or toilet paper so I am taking note of every single little thing I may need. Thank you very much 💖💖💖

It’s so interesting to see the difference between USA and UK hospitals. Hospitals in the UK are kept soooo warm even during summer they have heating on. I sweat and struggle with it. Also hospitals in the UK won’t supply nappies, pads etc so you have to bring it all with you. Obviously if you turn up unexpected in labour with nothing they have stuff to give you but they don’t give it to everyone

Hey There, just wanting to tell you I have personally worked at the hospital in housekeeping and we are actually Not allowed to use bleach. We had to use no scent cleaning products. Also, I will tell you a secret, some housekeepers were lazy and did NOT clean the shower if it appeared clean or unused. I use to think the same way though.

im debating on bringing a pacifier bc ive heard that if you’re breastfeeding you shouldn’t give your baby a pacifier soo im debating if i should pack one of those🤔 but i don’t know bc i don’t have experience with it
@SoulTribeMama3 жыл бұрын
I would bring one just in case. They have them at the hospital if you don’t but you never know. I don’t think baby will have a problem with a paci or the nipple as long as you feed right away. Meaning they get the breast first before the paci. And only a paci for soothing if they are not hungry. They don’t need a paci in their mouth all the time. But again it’s just something you gotta feel out with your baby. Some babies won’t even take a paci ( my first two didn’t) your the mama and your instincts will be right. Don’t doubt yourself

Please wear shoes at all times in a hospital, while showering everywhere! As a nurse, you do not know how clean the environment really is. Staff may not clean the showers or bathroom floors as frequently as you think they may, and microscopic post partum blood left over from another person is likely to be there.
those were the pjs i took with me in my first (original hospital bag) they are from Target but old so not in stock anymore

my hospital cleaned the bathroom as i was in labor and then again that night, then again the next night. so i have always felt clean and comfortable there. Plus if you think the bathrooms are not clean then what about the hospital bed we have to sit on with no bottoms on to give birth that some one else has bled on too? that would be worse than what i might get on my feet. I love my hospital since ive had all 4 of my babies there and the staff and nurses have all been the best and kept good care of us, even better than any hotel ive ever been to.
