[INSTANT POT STEEL CUT OATS RECIPE BELOW]
Breastfeeding has been amazing and fulfilling but it takes so much energy, and so much food. It’s been a journey but I’m feeling pretty good about where my diet is now; and feeling confident that I’m nourishing myself and my baby the best I can. Oh, and being a mom has given me a whole new perspective on EASY MEALS 🙈
IP STEEL CUT OATS RECIPE
(2 servings)
1 cup steel cut oats
2 cups water
pinch of salt
Pressure cook for 6 minutes, and then natural steam release fully. That's it! Mix in maple syrup, cinnamon, etc in the IP then serve with your fave toppings :)
Thanks for watching!! Make sure to subscribe to my channel. New videos every week ✌🏿❤️ @sweetpotatosoul

Treasure these precious days and moments...I nursed and co-slept and cloth diapered all my six kids and loved it, the time flew by and now I have kids in their twenties! Do what your heart tells you, and you will always follow the path that is right for you and your family

How does the co-sleeping work for the child when they’re older and move over to their own bed? Ps. I know children are individual, but wondered about your experience with that. 🙂

What worked for our family when transitioning children out of our bed was having a toddler bed beside our adult bed for them to get use to and then my children typically shared rooms so eventually they bunked with a sibling

I’m so thankful that you have discussed the benefits of eating vegan while pregnant. I have been eating vegan for the last 2 years and want to have a baby soon. I’ve heard so many people talk about how it is NOT good for you and I should be eating meat. I am so confident that I don’t want to do that and watching your videos and following your journey has really blessed me

JMK she shouldn’t do anything she’s uncomfortable with. She doesn’t owe us any insight to her personal life! I think too many influencers overshare, so it’s refreshing to see someone keeping such a precious time for themselves. There’s also been a huge issue on KZbin with showing kids in videos, and many of those channels comments have been disabled to protect the children, so at least we still have access to her comment section since she’s choosing to keep her baby private!

A lot has changed for you, so it makes complete sense to make the appropriate adjustments. I admire you and your openness to share your truth. The exhaustion of motherhood and the mommy and me support group. ❤️ I’m curious what products you use on baby? Your at home birth experience? How you and Max figure out a rhythm to care for baby.

It's a very authentic representation of how busy these days can be especially when it comes to nourishing ourselves. I also really appreciate that you film without showing the babies face, we still get to experience her presence without the questionable exploitation of filming her directly{which of course no judgement towards those that choose to}

I loved your "what I eat in a day vid" and your honesty about struggling with getting enough in. Breastfeeding is surely the hardest thing I've ever done and I'm always starving. Monica Cespedes it’s very interesting how many will magically hold a nutritional degree even when they never went to any sort of school for it, and still will feel the beed to insert themselves in the diet of others as if they are medical doctors or nutritionists. If all of them would run a blood test you know the vegan who is on top of their diet will have the best test results. Those women who feel the need to comment should stop and ask themselves what the factory made food they eat that are stuffed with preservatives and all kinds of letters and numbers that not too many is aware of what they stand for, and understand they have no clue what that food does to the body and their babies. I clearly don’t have full insight either, but someone really eating tons of organic vegetables and an overall clean diet will have a much more sufficient diet than those complaining about a plant-based diet, who eat a not so healthy diet (but that’s probably why they complain because it gives such people bad feelings about not doing the same decisions which they can tell is a positive one), Hopefully she didn’t experience negative narratives from the *support* group. It’s not for nothing vegan people don’t deal with colon cancer and heart disease in the same extent or even close to the same extent as those who follow a carnivore diet.

No rush on getting your baby to sleep by herself if you don't feel ready! I struggled with the pressure to get mine to fall asleep on his own, stay asleep on his own, and sleep in his own crib, but my intuition about his personality kept saying otherwise. We happily still cosleep, and he's nearly two years old. I nurse him to sleep for naps and nighttime and that works for us. For now, anyway. :) It's exhausting at times, but in all my reading and trying of different methods, this seems to be what he needs for now and since he's only young once, I'm happy to oblige until my own preferences (or his) say otherwise. Which may be soon. Just wanted to encourage you (as I'm sure you get in your support group, anyway) to remember that every baby and family is different and if you guys are still enjoying helping her to sleep, it is absolutely developmentally safe for her not to learn to do that herself yet.
