What you've done to your Tuscany home in such a short amount of time is remarkable. I love the kitchen, the pool, the cool bookshelf and even the porch furniture you seem to not like so much. I think this is also a good retirement home for Holly where she won't have to do the steps in her old age. Hopefully, Skye will be able to spend more time in Tuscany during the winter months and you won't be missing her as much. Really looking forward to this new channel, Nicki and Carlo, and I wish you nothing but happiness and success!

Love getting to watch another one of your channels. The olive oil bottle is very beautiful! I use Alexa all the time, sometimes for reminders and especially my grocery list!

Nicki if you get air conditioning in the house consider getting mini-splits. The reason is you can save on money by buying them individually and you don't have to run them through the whole house. You can run them only where you need them. There is no reason to pay for air conditioning downstairs when you are upstairs asleep. It's just something to think about.

Congrats on the new channel! One tip: for years I split time between homes, got in the habit of unplugging any heating element appliances as a way to turn them off when not it use. All curling irons, blow dryers, clothes irons, bread toasters, heaters, are unplugged to turn them off. At first it's a change but it becomes habit. This way none of them started fires in my absence.

I bought everything I use daily or often, including shoes, clothes, grooming supplies, wheat grinder (because I make bread and pasta from whole wheat), vitamix, knives, and all the kitchen and home things. I used to carry everything back and forth. Now, I only bring the things I need for two days of travel. I have a love/hate relationship with the two home thing.

I have noticed your bag for a while and I bought one of them at my local garden center here in New Hampshire USA. I walked in the store and kept seeing it and on my 4th visit I bought it....I LOVE it it is a Lime green ORI backpack I use as my purse....I think it is medium? I also can't live without my Nutri-bullet! I never thought to make hummus with it. Will do today! If you're ever in an extra noisy environment and need more assistance than earplugs, we have a small sound machine from Amazon that helps us tremendously. It depends on if you and Carlo can tolerate white noise, etc, tho. They're not helpful if you prefer silence. Great tip on the slipper Birkenstocks, too. Thank you!

My favourite suggestion is your use of backpacks (or rucksacks as you would say). I have always used them as they make life so much easier, especially when travelling with dogs and having hands and arms free is a must. Another tremendously delightful video. I love your olive oil bottles. I have never used one of those hair straighteners gadgets. I have found Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine leave in moisturizer works so good. It controls my frizzy hair now that I'm older and the wild gray hairs are coming out. I just blow dry a little and my hair get straight and shiny for days. it is one of my can't live without. A good knife set is a must for any house. I too love the sharpener tool. But, people must learn how to use properly as to not damage a good knife. A good week away bag is a must. I need the wheely kind. I have never had a backpack. I just use large shopping bags/ purse like bags I can sling over my shoulder. I got a great one that is reversable prints with an outside zipper. Washable and Wear. A good flip flop that is water proof and slip resistant is for me. Must have arch support and thick heal cup. Always buy two at a time. Keep a pair in my bag just in case my feet swell and I want a change in the afternoon of outing.

I really enjoyed watching this. We have a home in the US and a flat in the UK, so it’s a bit different because we have to fly, and you are traveling by car. But we spend a good bit of time in both places and I sensed the same idea behind the choices you’ve made. If there’s something you just love to have, it just makes sense to have it in both places and not carry it back and forth. I keep my favorite underwear, tights, nightclothes, dressing gown, as well as my favorite slippers in the UK. This is to make packing in a carryon only, easier. And shoes. I too have Sketchers both places. I keep a pair of my favorite waterproof leather ankle boots in both rainy places. I also keep a bunch of my favorite pretty shopping bags in both places. And where there’s a product I like that is unavailable in the other country, I keep them in both. Certain kitchen sponges, some mugs, some creams and sunscreens etc. I stock in both places and carry across the ocean in quantity when I am low. I love your olive oil container, considering one of those.

This is a great show. I have three sets of my favorite shoes. Five of them (boots, sneakers, walking sandals, flip flops and slipper). One set at home in the US, one set at my son's in the UK and one set in the Azores. I have to fly, and shoes take up so much room in carry-on. Once my house is ready in the Azores, I will be duplicating several things from my house like you have. It's wonderful.

Ha ha, I too started plain yogurt and granola, swapped out for my favourite breakfast, cinnamon buns. I limit the buns to Sunday morning as a treat, but the rest of the week, yogurt.
