In this video we are going to look at what I carry everyday on my road bike. A few people have asked about my EDC (Every day carry) so here it is.
What I take out with me does vary based on distance, but this video covers stuff that I can’t leave behind.
Safe riding peeps!!

I pretty much carry the kitchen sink when i go out riding. I recently got the Topeak Ratchet Rocket with the torque tool bit, this is so i can tighten any bolts to the correct torque Nm (up to 6Nm). A Wolf Tooth master link pliers, these are really thin but are a good way to take master links on and off when on the road and can carry 2 sets of spare master links. I have a multitool as well, i use this to loosen bolts and the ratchet to tighten. Using a torque wrench to loosen bolts can damage the mechanism which wil lead to inaccurate torque settings. Lezyene Mini Pump. Tire levers, patches and tire boot. Some cable ties. A mini Leathermans pliers, just to help with cables, cutting the cable ties etc. Cycliq lights/cameras on order on Black Friday deals, so this will kill two birds with one stone. But before getting these, was looking at some Halfords lights, as they are relatively cheap but have good high lumen lights. 1600 Lumen front light for £50 (1000 Lu for £40 and 500 Lu for £25), and a 50 Lumen rear for only £15. When looking for lights, the minimum I look for is 500 lumens as this is good enough for Richmond Park at night, for riding in the country i would get brighter lights. A Restrap Musette bag, which is foldable. This is great to keep in a pocket just in case you're out and suddenly need to carry something too big to fit in a jersey pocket. (usually extra food, but you never know). Also at least a cable lock, just in case i need to make a quick stop whilst riding solo. Not the most secure, but will deter opportunist theives (a £6k bike was stolen in Richmond Park, because it was left unlocked while the rider quickly went to the loo).

"I pretty much carry the kitchen sink when I go out riding" - That's hilarious 😂😂😂 So much information in this post, thank you for commenting. I feel that we need a top-down review of your everyday carry. It would be much more entertaining than mine hahaha. As for the lights, again, thank you for all the information. I'll look for lights that are at least 500 lumens. To be honest, I don't really ride much at night (until I start commuting again). I'm curious to see how the Cycliq lights/cameras are, I'll have a look at some reviews. (Let me know how you get on too). On the whole, you are super prepared, which I can really appreciate for both yourself and others that you ride with. Great job. I'm going to get some better tools for the road next year when I start doing some longer rides again. I also have all the camera gear to carry but that's another story. Safe riding Hans and thanks again for commenting.

Thanks, bro!! I appreciate comment! I'll checkout the hiplocks. Luckily I've not had to lock my bike up since lockdown started. 👌🏼

Weirdly reassuring that my carry is so similar! I don't have tyre levers but theres a tyre lever thingy on my multitool...maybe I should get a set just in case. Got the magene sensors from your review (and bought a set for my dad ha!) Just bought this smart light which has smart braking and stuff... www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07RYX3BB4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hey Sam!! Thank you for you comment. It's interesting that we have a similar every day carry 👌🏾 - How are you finding the Magene speed and cadence sensors? Mine are still holding up pretty well with no issues so far. How has the light been? Any good? The braking sensor sounds pretty good as well. Something that I've not used before. 👍🏽
