Everyone is so caught up in what’s “optimal” that they forget sometimes being optimal all the time is not fun. And fun is what keeps us consistent.
I’m here to reach my goals but I also want to enjoy myself once in a while. I’m not pounding drinks every weekend and questioning myself why I keep gaining weight. I also understand that a few drinks every few months or during the holidays with my friends/family is not going to significant derail me from reaching my goals.
There will be certain times in your life where you will be more strict than others. Having discipline is what allows us to have foresight to determine the best time for both.
Drink Recipes
Espresso Martini
2 oz tequila (you can use vodka or any sprit you like)
1 oz expesso (or 1.5 oz brewed coffee) at room temp
0.5 oz coffee liqueur, Kahulua
(Recipe called for addition 0.5 oz simple syrup. We didn’t add it and it felt just as good)
Devils Margarita
1.5 oz tequila
0.75 oz triple sec
1 oz lime juice
0.25 oz agave syurp
Float red wine
Spicy Pineapple Margarita
Pinapple, lime, Serrano pepper muddled
1.5 oz tequila
0.5 oz agave syurp
Finish to hard seltzer
Rim salt and Tajin
Shaken Taro Egg White Martini
2 oz tequila
.75 oz taro syurp
2 oz egg whites
Dry shake vigorously, then shake with ice until shaker is cold
Added splash of hard seltzer but not needed
