How do you balance mom life, working out, and doctor life? I am struggling to balance work, mom life, getting my PhD and working out.

I wake up really early (4:30- 5 AM) and sleep early (9-10 PM). The morning is the only time I have to myself. I choose to use that time to exercise. By the end of the day, I’m just exhausted so I know nothing gets done. Stan is super supportive. He does all the cleaning and cooks on days I’m working. I think it’s just really good habits I set in place. It’s part of my routine now so it makes things a little easier.

She revealed a couple of years ago that she works part-time as a physician. I know she has her online business too, but that seems like it could be more flexible and allow WFH, so I’m sure that that’d help too.

Hi Jenny! - its so refreshing to see such a 'real' vlog without the perfect gleaming kitchen and the perfectly organic and unprocessed foods - so many health 'experts' advise against white bread, white rice, any kind of potato chips or processed cheese or breaded chicken, sliced ham etc - are those things really that bad in moderation in your opinion? - although i tend to eat brown bread mostly, i do eat frozen low fat french fries, low fat chicken breast nuggets etc all the time along with low sugar protein bars as a snack - in your opinion, are processed foods that bad in moderation alongside fruit and veg? xoxoxo

You can have all those things and still have a balanced and healthy diet. I try to keep Whole Foods to 80% of the time. Also, good way to determine if something is a good source of protein and looking at the protein to calorie ratio. Protein should be 8-10% of the total calories. Example a good protein bar that’s 200 calories should have around 18-20g protein.

@@drjennale that is so helpful, thank you so much! - when you work hard at losing weight then maintaining your new weight it can be a bit deflating to be told that some of the foods you enjoy for their taste and convenience are totally off limits for health reasons - great tip about the protein /calorie ratio, the bars i have are 220 calories and 20 g protein so looks like they are a good choice for my daily sweet snack! - thank you again!

Hi Jenny, thanks for the content. Can you talk about how long you do the bulking and cutting phases. For example if you have an event coming up and you want to cut for it , how far in advance would you start cutting? Assuming you don’t have a lot of weight to lose, just want to look better. Thanks!
@drjennale10 ай бұрын
I have a competition coming up that I have to make weight for. I started cutting about 3 months in advance just in case. Got to my competition weight in about 2 months (4 lbs lost) and now just maintaining. I would say it depends on the person on how long or short these phases are. I don’t do well on aggressive cuts so I like to give myself time.

Great video. I couldnt get into that food though. Glad to see you. Can we get an update on whether or not you plan to expand your clothing line. Also, as someone asked below, can we get an update on your student loans. I know you had an interesting take on starting to pay that. Love the kids.
@drjennale11 ай бұрын
Yes! Update to come. But an overview - we are planning on expanding the clothing line! We’re in contact with the manufacturer now over the minimum volume we have to purchase. For school loans - I’m currently on the SAVE program. If something changes financial, then we would pay sooner. But Stan’s income is very iffy in real estate.

May I ask your opinion on how much calories I should be doing a day I need to loose 80 pounds 😢

Go to TDEEcalculator.net. It’ll give you maintenance calories and you can do a 10-20% deficit from that
