For people that stress about travel/accommodation logistics etc pre/post event, these vlogs are really valuable. For example, Ben Johnson did a breakdown of his pre event activities for the LA marathon a while ago. Given the lack of decent public transport in LA, it gave a great insight into what you have to plan for. We now know what 300 Euros gets you for a hotel on Berlin marathon weekend anyway...
@its_Matt_B_Ай бұрын
Yeah, I can see that! It definitely helps to see someone going through it and explaining what they did and why they did it. On a bright note, that hotel room was actually only 270 euros, which at the time was around $300.

@@its_Matt_B_ We were extremely fortunate with only some power flickering during the storm and nothing else, though the pier in Safety Harbor I usually run to totally gone. However, many many friends and coworkers in the St Pete area were totally devastated with houses flooded by 3+ft of water, boats floated away, cars flooded and not working, it's crazy. We're so close together but totally different experiences. They've done a great job clearing up all the wasted up debris on the run paths up here in Clearwater and I didn't really have to miss a step in prepping for NYC.

The layover in Frankfurt coming from Berlin can be a bit nerve-wracking.
