Hi Sandy! I just found you a few minutes ago and just fell in love with your story and personality! You are a very strong woman and I really really hope I look as good as you do at 80 or 70 or 60 for that matter. But anyway, your story is so similar to mine, I just feel a kindred spirit in you. I have been married twice. Both of them were alcoholics. My first husband was very mentally abusive, so I divorced him after 10 urs and married my second husband about 3 or 4yrs after my divorce. But my second husband was the exact opposite of the 1st one. He was MY PERSON, my rock, the love of my life. He drank because he had bad problems with anxiety and depression that he wouldn't see a doctor about,so he self medicated with alcohol, he passed away on 11/12/2021 due to his addiction to it. He spent the last 5 yrs of his life trying to quite drinking, he just couldn't stay away from it. I miss him so very much every day. I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband and for the last 2 years of his life being so hard for both of you. The last several months of my late husband's life were very difficult. Not as hard as your situation but nonetheless, I so wish the last days I had with him had of been happier. It's not so easy to remember the good times when all your most recent memories of them are sad and hard to think about. Stay strong, much love. And I'm loving your KZbin channel. Always check with your doctor when you are adding supplements to your routine. You want to make sure that those supplements don’t interfere with your thyroid medication. You can ask your local pharmacist or your Dr.

My loving hubby died on Jan. 28th this year, he fell down from the bed at 3am on Jan. 4th while sleeping and injured his brain. His decline was very fast. Sorry for your loss. My hubby passed away 6 years ago and I still miss him deeply. He had many health issues and I was his caregiver plus he was in and out of the hospital and nursing home. Take care and hope you find some hobbies to occupy your mind, heart and time.

I was sorry to read about how you lost your husband because it is similar to my husband. The day afterValentine’s Day, 2020, I did not hear him get up. He needed my assistance for everything but he made his way down a short carpeted hallway with his walker. In the kitchen I later found his walker and a cereal bowl on the counter on the opposite side of the room from where he fell, hitting his head on the edge of a counter and the floor. The crash woke me and I ran to the kitchen to find him unconscious in a pool of blood. Called 911 immediately and they advised me to test his insulin (Diabetes) and the ambulance and emergency people took him to the emergency room. He regained consciousness and was doing very well for 36 hours in the hospital when I noticed his cheeks suddenly flushed and his conversation became garbled. I was told tests revealed a subdural hematoma, he was unconscious and the doctor urged me to get him to a more advanced hospital so we flew to Salt Lake City where he never regained consciousness. Not one doctor there told me that he ALSO had a subarachnoid hemorrhage until four days later and that he would never regain consciousness. They said the ER on the first morning of his fall should not have given him blood thinners and that is what caused his brain to bleed. It took me another three days before I was convinced there was no hope and after I had them remove all machines and leave the two of us alone, he passed away peacefully three hours later. I flew home, my son flew in from Germany and a close friend and her husband brought my husband’s ashes home by car. By then I had made all arrangements for a ceremony and burial at our V.A. Cemetery. Neither my husband nor I ever wanted to go through a wake and funeral so I did not put the obituary in the paper until the Sunday after his burial. I just could not cope with any more than the three people who were with me. They were lifesavers to me. Two weeks later I was by myself when COVID shut down everything! It was months of me on the phone calling banks, social security, brokers, name change on bills, insurance, etc. plus I had to figure out his computer, find our tax record files and figure out how to use TurboTax to file our income tax. ……..So I guess that is my answer to your question about how to deal with loneliness. Take stock of every detail that your husband may have handled during your marriage (we were together 45 yrs., married 38), go through your files, clean house, take care of the yard, get the oil changed and if it is not too hard, begin going through your husband’s things. My husband left me a giant zigsaw puzzle. He collected lots of new items but I would find the manual on one floor, the object in a box in the garage and the Amazon sales slip in a thick stack in a drawer. Two years, four months later and just last week while searching for the manual to his cordless drill, I found the Amazon sales printout saying that he purchased a cordless drill/circular saw combo in 2012. Believe me when I say I have searched and searched and I have not found a circular saw nor did he ever cut a piece of wood in 45 yrs.! I’m the “handyman”, painter, cleaner, etc, he was the one who wrote the checks, did the taxes and called the plumber. As I have done for two years, I just laugh, shake my head and tell my husband that even though he is no longer here, he keeps me on my toes. He was a dream of a husband but what a handful he was!

Great video! My VERY thick hair started falling out in strands about three years ago. It has continued to fall out and my dermatologist calls it Androgenetic alopecia. I started taking supplements from the doctor but have seen no results at all. I am thinking I might just try the Restore cap if possible. Thanks for a great video, especially your Scripture at the end, which is the best of all, and the assurance that our hair is indeed our crowning glory. I am hanging on to that truth and will be praying about that. You are as always such a great encouragement. I still have my precious husband, so I can't even imagine that yet, but am just so appreciative of your sweet spirit. God bless you as you lean on the Savior. What a joy is ours in Jesus.

Sandra, your video is very helpful to women losing their hair. I have always had very heavy hair and had to have special ways to handle it because it was just too heavy to let hang down. in the last two years to my surprise, it started coming out when I washed it so I tried many different shampoos and conditioners. Now it's not falling out so much. I don't know what to think, but I have been taking a lot of vitamins because of the covid crisis so maybe that had something to do with it. My hair fell out in great patches due to the stress of a divorce and has not grown back in those areas so I have shaved my head and wear a wig now. I'm 58 and given up on it, I can live without hair. Dear Sandra I am from Iceland and I am married not a widow. But I watch your videos because I like them. I can not believe you are in you late 70. I will turn 69 next month, July 3. My husband is 72. We are both retired of course. We just came back home from cruise from Barcelona to France, Italy, Mallorca for 7 nights. It was very nice and then went to our daughter´s house in Spain for 3 weeks. We could not take our 15 year old Chihuha with us and we missed her so much, our son took care of her. Home is always the best. It was good to come home in the windy and rainy Iceland. Now the heat is so much people are struggling to get through the day, that is not for me. I will be following you. You have a wonderful voice. Love your hair and young look. Take care and you have lots of friends out there. Just wanted to introduce me self. I am sorry for the spelling but I speak Icelandic, but can speak English and Danish ok, as I just to be an exchange student in upstate NY 70-71 for one year. Have some friends un US. My grandson is in University/College in North Carolina on a soccer team scholar. He comes home for summer time.

Being alone, getting old, getting sick, having tons of stress all makes life difficult, to use a overused word without meaning. I too am pushing 80 with very thinning hair. I use Minoxidil. I used to cut my hair off once a year and wear a full wig when I went anywhere. I take collagen tablets from Costco. I also use that same Hair, Skin & Nails product.

I started taking collagen for my bones and discovered that it really helped thicken my hair. I started collagen loading for one month then cut down to once a day. I put it in hot tea and there is no taste. I also did bone broth which is collagen. Goshen Farms has a excellent bone broth recipe. I also take biotin and my hair is thicker than it has ever been.

Telogen effluvium is what you experienced and it can follow physical or emotional stress, or hormonal changes. Your hair should grow back without doing anything. Mine has grown back much thinner, like candy floss, texturally different. Your topper looks so natural. You look half your age.

Hi, just found your channel. Thanks for sharing what you do. In one of your videos you mentioned dry eyes. I took care of my mom until she passed. She had dry eyes. Here's what we did: upon waking, press warm wash cloth over both eyes for a few minutes: used eye drops. I think her doctor recommended non preservative eye drops: stay hydrated with water throughout the day: humidifier near her. These things helped her. Hope it helps you.
