If your hair follicles are dead (not miniaturised or vellus hair), you can't grow it back with microneedling. That's where this review is failing, but unfortunately ireview doesn't stress it enough that it's not a miracle cure + simply cannot achieve that and I can't blame him for having the wrong expectations.

There's a very common misconception when it comes to irestore. You need to used it before your hair follicles die off. Once they die they will never grow back no matter what product you use. It should help him keep the hair he has not grow the hair follicles you lost years ago. When you shaved your head I could tell that your hairline was further back and most likely those hairs follicles are gone already unfortunately they won't come back. Try micro needling and the laser and hopefully you can keep it
@JesseDriftwood
@JesseDriftwood 2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I’ve had this deep hairline since early high school (15 years or so) so I had no thoughts that might change. Unfortunately the irestore marketing heavily leans in and in fact encourages that misconception. They frequently share videos and testimony of regenerating hair growth. I’m also fine believing that it does in fact work for some people, I’m just not one of them.

This is not completely true. How can you explain the phenomenon where when balding men with dead follicles undergo a sex change they get back all their lost hair?
@nosynosee3835
@nosynosee3835 6 ай бұрын
@@Way_Of_The_Light in simple terms if the hair follicle is dead you’re not really reviving it. But in some rare cases, people with severe balding have hair follicles that for some reason our dormant and are not dead. For those lucky few if they happen to get on hormone therapy as a transgender person or even in very very few cases people who try low level laser therapy who have already significantly, balded will in fact grow backhair. But don’t be fooled, if the follicles are dormant, you have a chance of restoring that hair. If the follicles are dead, that’s it for that hair.

Don't let anyone tell you it's no big deal or try to minimize your feelings about hair loss. Acceptance takes time. Our appearances help us form our identities, and society is a little too flippant about men who are experiencing hair loss. I'm glad you gave this a try because, if nothing else, the process will help inform your future choices about this topic and might even allow for a level of comfort with your "new" look. I went through a similar experience when my beard went full Gandalf on me (white) over less than a year from black-brown. Great experiment and video, Jesse. All the best.

Something important for anyone watching is the key culprits and solutions for each individual is gonna vary. Some people may experience great results using red light because their problem probably had something to do with scalp circulation and or poor blood quality, on that coin some people see a return of hair by simply consuming zink, selenium, curcumin, Vitamins D3 and C. Stressers play a huge role as well, endocrine disruptors such as chlorine (in the water you bathe), or emotional factors alone can spike cortisol on a chronic level leading to hair loss. Don't be discouraged if one method doesn't work for you, it doesn't mean It doesn't work for everyone, and it doesn't mean something else won't work for you. You gotta experiment with yourself across the board to find your solutions, could it be A LOT of work for some? Yes, but be encouraged and experiment.

Also, this would work best on people who detect their hair loss (eg. AGA or TE) early, have miniaturised hairs that CAN be revived in the first place and it's realistically going to fail on anyone with dead hair follicles like the person reviewing. It won't miraculously grow hair back where none was.

From my personal experience, my hair thinned drastically from age 36. 46 now, I just shave my head on a grade 2 and focus on the important things in life. I’m 36(about to be 37 next week). Just noticed thinning by my left temple and I’m panicking. I will look awful bald, I have moles on my head. Idk what to do. But the only thing I can see when I look in the mirror is thinning.. I don’t even think it’s that bad yet but it looks worse everyday to me. I don’t think there is a doctor in the world who would do a transplant this early into losing hair. I don’t notice any shedding at all in the shower. I don’t know how to go about it, if I can just do something to make it stop where it is now i would be okay. Any suggestions? I see my dermatologist in a week and a half for other reasons so I was going to ask her as well, but I keep feeling like my hair is going to be really bad by the time I get there because every time I look at it I feel like it’s worse and worse(idk if that’s in my head or what).

I've always hoped we would reach a point where creators could break out of their niche and offer their experience on something different. You have used cameras and filmmaking to bridge your unique personality to others. And now that we are here, I'm confident you can talk to me about a laser hat scam or uncrustables, or whatever. Also, as someone who's been sans hair for a few years now, anything that normalizes hair loss is pure gold to me. Because frankly, most stigmas, pressures, awkward tensions etc. are predominantly put upon those losing their hair by others. People who instinctively assume there's a big deal here without our input. Someone with hair loss is just the person they were with hair, for better or worse. And finally much love to those identifying more feminine dealing with hair loss, as the stresses and pressures are exponential. You're beautiful, too!

If you want warranty that’s another 200-300$… excuse me but if I’m going to be paying this much $$$ I expect the warranty to be for AT LEAST 5 years from the company. 4. If you’re not satisfied, you have to pay not only to send it back, but also a bunch of other stupid fees… And the biggest thing is the company apparently only did 2 tests with 0 results in the subjects tested… so no assurance whatsoever. Sorry but the hastle is not worth it. At this point I would only try it if it was for free.

I started losing hair in my 20's in the 1980's, but back then, I wasn't too much aware of any treatments, and there also wasn't internet back then either, so research was extremely limited, and ya, I didn't have much money either... I do remember being very conceded back in those days, and lot's of girls did like me, so I became self conscious of my hair... So sure, I spent time in the mirror combing my hair... It also remember it felt good combing my hair because the needles felt good on my scalp... I remember getting a brush sometime back then because I figured a brush would feel better which it most definitely did... I remember I liked "poking" my scalp with the many needle-like bristles... I would play with the brush on my scalp while watching Tv, and one thing I started noticing was that my hair was getting thicker & longer... Some time ago, I think in the 90's, I bought a "Boars Hair" brush because I thought it was more masculine, however, it was MUCH STIFFER, but I liked it... After about 30 minutes or so, my scalp would get red & sore, so I would wait a day or so before poking my scalp again=== I'm not 100% sure if poking my scalp was the reason I have TARZAN hair, but after some research, I discovered the poking & poking my scalp all the time leads to better blood flow to nourish the follicles.... The term is called "NEEDLING"... So funny how back in the 80's I did this merely for the pleasure of it with NOT knowing it was actually benefiting my hair.... ALSO, When I wash my hair, I ONLY use water (no shampoo),,, Maybe once every 2 to 3 months I will use a natural shampoo, but mostly all the time, just water only........ By the way, I'm 59 yrs. old now and I still have TARZAN hair.

Hair loss is tough to deal with, especially for those who always were known to have "different" hair. I always had people commenting on how nice my hair was through grade school, but then I started my battle with leukemia in my late 20's. A wild ride that was a combination of both severe pain that shocked my system to the core (a lot of my hair turned white, then they fell out), some of the treatment meds had hairloss listed as a known side effect, and now I'm on a med that the docs insist don't cause hair loss.... but I notice severe thinning. Perhaps I'm just getting old now, or just like the rest of my other side effects, they just tend to gaslight the effects. Very close to just shaving and calling it a day :)

Not worth the price!! When I left a negative review on Amazon, the company actually contacted me via email to remove the review for a complete refund. How they tracked down my email is a mystery! But that explains all the positive reviews on Amazon!

Funny, IRestore ADD came on after the review. Laser Hair Regrowth is just an ordinary red LED which emits around 630nm. My hair loss was really bad because of my skin tone, I looked like a gangster when I lost my hair. Thank you for this honest review.

I turned 40 today, which means I’ve been shaving my head for half of my life now. My hairline started receding when I was about 18. To be honest, I think you (and most balding men for that matter) look better when they step out of denial and start shaving their heads. A lot more convenient too btw!

I’ve been losing my hair since I was also around 17. I decided to shave my head entirely when I was around 24/25. I’m 28 now and to tell you the truth, I’ve never felt looking better than ever. Hahaha I’d be more conscious if I start losing my beard.

Lost my hair at 25 and went through similar steps attempting treatments. I gotta say, that moment when you graduate from crew cut and run the razor blade down the center of your head is very special and terrifying. Immediately after you've started, you realize you can't turn back. It looks mediocre until you get a bit of a tan and the colour evens out.

It bothered my husband, so we had a trip to Turkey. It takes one full year to see the result but it works , the FUE hair transplant that is. I am buying this helmet for him to minimize the hair loss progression. I dont think without any hair transplant surgery this thing will work for male pattern baldness.

When i turned 30 i gave up on trying to save my hair. Spent enough money on products to bring it back but it never worked. decided to go full bold with a beard and I'm super happy I went this route. Ive grown it out a bit to see how bad its gotten and I'm glad I settled for the bold look

Thanks for an honest review! I just bought the newer model and hoping it will help me gain my hair back or at least stop shedding so much. They do have the 12 months money back guarantee so that makes me get a little better knowing I can still get my money back if it doesn’t work.

Nice video - interesting to see your results. Thank you. My hair has been thinning for the past 15 years or so and my wife seems more bothered by the fact that it doesn't bother me more than the actual loss of hair on my head bothers her. About 6 years ago I came home one day and my wife had been bugging me about my thinning hair off an on, she handed me a box of Rogaine. She said one of her friend's husband uses it and it's helped grow hair back. From what I learned about Rogaine, you have to keep using it otherwise whatever hair you do grow back will fall right out again. To humor her I used it for about a year. I applied it every day as per instructions. I never missed a day and each box gets you 3 months worth of application. At about the 6th month mark I couldn't tell you if Rogaine was helping or not, but my wife said it looked like my hair had maybe thickened up some and she wanted me to keep using it. Fine....whatever, so I kept it up. At about 9 months in the only thing I knew for certain that Rogaine was doing to my head was making my scalp itch - horribly itchy. Most things that make people itch don't bother me, like misquote bites and even poison ivy, but this Rogaine was a different beast altogether. I was constantly scratching at my scalp for about 3 months, there were days it would itch so bad and I was scratching so much I was actually starting to break the skin and causing myself to bleed. After that I said F it. I was done, just about 12 full months of using Rogaine. I told my wife no more Rogaine, it was causing my scalp to itch so bad I was starting to make myself bleed from scratching so much. With that in mind, I don't really care one way or the other about my hair loss. Would it be nice if I had a full head of hair still? Sure, absolutely. But does it bother me that I probably never will, again in my life? No. I'm okay with it. I'm never looking into balding cures, but I just happened across this iRestore laser thing today as I was bumming around the internet during a slow period at work and I figured it was too good to be true. Then I found your review on youtube of it and found it to be very informative. Also, I figured it was about as useless as you had discovered after 6 months of use so it looks like this is just another gimmicky product to stay away from. Thanks for the review!

Gotta say, I always like your videos, but I have never laughed as much as I did this time around. I really want to be a "KZbinr"/vlogger and you are such an inspiration and I learn so much from you. This video really shows that no matter which camera you use or how good or bad the picture quality is, it is the content that matters the most. So your loosing your hair! That doesn't´t matter - your a good looking guy and your content is always great. Keep up the good work :)

Thanks for the honest review. Every once in awhile I go into deep research on hair loss protocols and I am always tempted by these helmets. I lost nearly all my hair from age 20 to 23, but was an amazing responder to finasteride. That, combined with a hair transplant had me at a point where I forgot all about hair loss. Now I'm approaching 32 and despite staying religious with fin, I'm mysteriously noticing an increase in shedding and a decrease in my hair density. I'm pretty scared and I hope I can accept it like you were able to. In the meantime I've ordered some ketoconazole shampoo that has a few other helpful ingredients and I'm hoping all my body needs is a bit of a 'nudge' to pause my hair loss completely again. Am I comfortable feeling like my fate lies in a shampoo? No, but I'm going to remain positive as possible for now, and just see what happens.

Dude, i went to an actual Doctor and he did recommend the LaserCap with additional things like Shampoo, conditioner to help hair growths. Supplement Pills and Finasteride prescription. Just go to a Doctor and talk to him, don’t waste time watching videos on YT cuz the laser treatment is not for everyone. This is for people who had cancer and need help growing volume on their scalp or people like me who have very minor symptoms of hair-loss in some areas. My case is not drastic but possibly starting which is what i want to avoid from getting worst.

Honestly from another person who lost his hair (lost mine at 16), just shave it man its a tough transition but it will eventually make your confidence grow and be more okay with you. I spent so long dreading shaving my head and now that I'm actually bald I don't miss it. This comment was after the video finished

I started losing my hair at 14. I had to wear an hat everyday and everywhere because I felt uncomfortable. Only my close friends and family were “allowed” to see me without it. Around 18 I decided I was mature enough to accept how I looked so, I shaved my hair completely with a razor and from that day on I’ve done it everyday for the last 17 years. Every single day. Oh, I also started working out so at least I didn’t look sick :D And now here I am looking like a mini Vin Diesel

I would say no change.....been a year using it. I am sorry about your hair loss, I am going to be 46 this month soon and I still not really sure what exactly the reasons why I have been losing lots of hair. I did a terrible diet for good 20 years starving myself since 16, have been always having tons of stress by so many things for decades, aging etc. I spent $900 for this even tho I got a lot of discounts with promotions. I would say they're so many more to try in less costs out there.I did tried MANY, and I have still trying many things based on natural way.

@@poo9305 Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear this isn't helping. As far as WHY we are losing our hair, it's apparently extremely common for women as we approach menopause - it's just never discussed. The numbers are something like 50 million men, and 30 million women (!!) experience some form of androgenetic alopecia. My best guess is that women do a really good job of hiding it and then it's a shock to the rest of us who never saw it coming. I'm trying to just accept it, but it's a lot different for women than for men. Thank you for replying, I appreciate it!

You are very welcome🙂 It is so true about the menopause effects... I didn't know that time of my age but I am kinda certain that my peri menopause started at the age of around 32. Lots of things happening and I saw many docs, did a lot of tests of everywhere of my body and all the results came back negative but you know lots of things happening to your whole body is not normal at all!! I started researching, and realized that it must had been a hormonal change, " Peri menopause"...😢😢 I can't really still succeed to win about the hair loss obviously but I have managed lots of other changes to deal with better. But I used to have TOO thick and TOO much hair that I wanted to have less when I was younger ( how stupid I used to wish...) to this needing hair more... I am still trying to get my hair back at least some more😩Hope you can find something that works to grow hair back too🤩

Fantastic video, thank you for sharing your story! I think that lasers in general work, but it's just not enough to beat male pattern baldness. It might be a nice little addition to other treatments potentially making them slightly more effective. But even stabilizing the hair situation actually might be viewed as a success. It matters, for example, when considering a hair transplant. What I know for sure is that it's much more effective for women than men.

Nice video. I'm having a huge hair fall on top. I hear people try like everything. I simply cant, I'm skeptical about these kinds of things. I'm considering having hair transplantation in Turkey. If I decide to do it, hair from the back of my head will be transplanted to the top of my head. The hair from the back of your head never falls off. It will take a year, but you know your hair will not fall off again and will look as natural as it was. And all under a doctors guidance. I'm just having hard time trusting things like this where you have to take pills and apply ton of stuff to your head-hair which you don't know of. I mean, there is no insurance to these kinds of things.
