What I Discovered in 50 Days Left me Speechless

After learning everything I could from living with gurus, monks, shamans and tribes around the world, I headed deep into the heart of a forest in New Zealand to meditate for 50 days alone. Inspired by Jesus who spent 40 days alone in the desert, and the Buddha who spent 49 days under a tree in meditation, I was determined to see if these weren't just stories, but a prescription for awakening.
In today's KZbin video, I share the insights and lessons I learned during my journey. I talk about how it changed me, almost dying a few times, getting completely lost, and ultimately finding myself.
I talk in more detail about my journey in this article, like where I stayed, how I survived, and other questions people may have: www.eastwesticism.org/50-days...

Hey Todd. Through all your time spent with enlightened people and being a special person yourself I’m interested to know your thoughts on healing another persons physical body through touch and heart/soul/visualisation connection. What an amazing thing it would be to be able to do this. Have you come across this in your travels at all? Also I love this video on spending time in the wilderness. I’ve always pictured/dreamed myself in a place of peace just “being” in the forest/nature…(without the critters so New Zealand is the place to go!) Jules

You don't have to leave society just turn off everything and meditate. Disconnect as much as possible and stay in the moment.

I am so happy that you remember Jesus fasted and stayed in the forest for 40 days {being tempted by the evil spirit the entire time} If you keep diving into & researching that life, that allows us to be forgiven and free, you are going to find yourself actually not being concerned about the past. We only have this one minute at a time. Keep reminding us we are not 'really' alone on this dirt path🙏❤️

Hey Todd, I hope you’re doing well. No rush because I know you’ve already been writing a lot, but I wonder if you’ll write a book on this specific experience of being alone in the woods for 50 days? I think that would be really interesting and probably an exploratory spiritual write too.

I have been in the presence of Buddhist Monks, meditating and chanting, and their spiritual vibration is invigorating to say the least. I don't understand their actual chanting words, but it certainly is inspiring, to listen and and to watch them in person. Then I realised, OMGOSH, I don't drink, smoke, steal or tell lies either...!!! I don't meditate that much, but I paint botanicals everyday, which is a like meditation because it also quietens the mind! It's Autumn here ATM. and getting colder by the day. Listening to this YT instantly made me HAPPIER. 🙏

I giggle what does it mean to see horse….and! “What does it mean if you see a horse? It could be a sign to stay the course and be strong. Horses are symbols of courage, power, and independence, so if you see a horse running free while you're suffering a period of self-doubt, it's a sign to trust your instincts and stick to the path you're.” Amazing, dear one! Delays kept me in the City today, not returning till Wednesday…staying my course….but won’t really be alone, but will take time alone in the jungle! Great video, blessed for your encouragement! I too, have had a very similar desire burning within! Here I am! Hugs from Guatemala City!

Simply walking out in nature alone and in full awareness already takes us closer to our true self. Could be a desert, a beach or mountains. Anyone can go out for a few hours and already feel more whole. Highly recommended to city dwellers or those lost in their minds and beliefs imposed by others.

Sending good vibes your way. You are right about a New York minute. Meditation and mindfulness meditation takes a lot of time in New York when the mind is always busy. 50 day in nature bless you 🙏. I believe we are all students of life always learning.
