I hate that people have made you feel like you should justify what you spend your money on!! It's your money, it's your choice! If I earned a decent wage, damn straight I'd be buying a Chanel bag (jumbo, caviar leather btw!) x
@maraviiia8 жыл бұрын
I think from - viewer perspective it seems like this could be justification but I actually think from Amie's perspective, she's providing advice and insight based on her experiences (just like her bag videos). I think she took something that would make some people defensive and turned it into something so positive. :)
@SueLocd8 жыл бұрын
I agree. Opening your life up on YT sometimes makes people feel like they can just crawl into every area of your life. Justifying what you do with your money is incredible to me... But that's just me I guess because I have the same reaction here in the Netherlands when people expect me to be open about how much I earn. Hmmm, maybe it's a British thing. I guess, we're just much more reserved on the whole...

I don't want to sound super feminazi or anything, but it really irritates me when I have something high-end or luxury, and everyone assumes my boyfriend bought it for me. "Oh, nice bag! Did your boyfriend buy it for you?" "Your shoes are so cute! Were they a gift from your boyfriend?" What, just because I'm female I'm incapable of making my own money and buying myself expensive things? My boyfriend never gets comments like that on his suits, watches or car. It's really annoying.
@Joyce0196108 жыл бұрын
So true! I'm in my maternity leave now, When I go to a high end store shopping with the pram, people always comment how luck I am. What does my husband do etc. I get so annoyed. I worked hard and saved enough money so I can take a full year off with my baby without putting any financial stress on my husband. And I bought most of the staff myself. My husband did gift me something, but I did the same for him. LV wallet, Armani suit, SF shoes, Hermes belt. No one ever asked him. How unfair!

The video was great, non-preachy and I hope you won't be scared to mention money as well! I think it's really important to address if certain items are "worth it" from the reviewers perspective (i.e. you spend a lot of money on bags, but if a quality or use isn't up to standard, then you might not deem it worthy) I hope it makes sense, but anyway thanks for some great videos! I subscribed to your channel a while ago because I was so impressed with your philosophy on money at such a young age. I see alot of young people who struggle with it and have a hard time with that concept, work = money = choices. I'm a woman in my late 40's and I can assure you that your money wisdom will give you alot of choice, freedom and security later in life. My husband and I have lived by the same philosophy, you and your boyfriend live by, for over 25 years. We are both retired and live very comfortably. :) I don't say these things to cheer myself I wanted to say them to let you know both your hard work will pay off! And what I love about your channel the most is you live within your means and yet you still make luxury purchases that make you happy. Others watching your channel, I'm sure, are inspired by that. Hard work can get you what you want. :) Bravo to you and your boyfriend!! And keep making these kinds of video's. I know there are others out there who will be inspired. :)

Hi Amie, I love your handbag videos, but I also thoroughly enjoy your money-saving/practical advice videos because they are very informative and inspirational. I would love for you to do more of these videos in a mix of your usual handbag videos. Thanks for the great content! Xx

Such an inspiring video. As they say money can't buy u class... Like u said u guys are frugal with your money. Yes I agree with u on the unnecessary spending even when I bought my apartment with my husband we spent the littlest amt possible and paid all Reno cost in full. You definitely have class Amie xx
