Mashed potatoes - we boil the water while we peel with a cover and salt. We dice the potatoes super small and they take no time at all. We make them homemade every time but that is just our preference!

My mom and mother in law always make homemade. The only homemade ones I make are Yukon gold mashed potatoes. I also love the instant ones you use too 😊Also how do you figure out serving size for rice and mashed potatoes when they are cooked?

Oh yum I love Yukon golds too!! For cooked I will weigh them in grams and enter into my app with an entry that specifies its cooked! If you are meal prepping you can weigh it before its cooked for the entire calories of your batch, say you weigh out 4 servings of dry rice, then after its cooked weigh it again and then divide that number by how many servings you are making (in this case, 4) then when you separate into 4 equal weights it will be the exact amount of what you measured dry! I hope that makes sense lol!

Hi, I'm 67 and always made homemade mashed potatoes until I discovered them. I do sometimes make homemade when I need alot of them for potatoe filling, or homemade stuffing. I do think the already made ones are great though!!

Grew up with only homemade. On my own I used to love refrigerated mashed potatoes called "Diners Choice" just heat & stir in butter and a little milk. Can't find for years though. Now I use Idaho's instant or Olreta's frozen mashed potatoes...you microwave the chunks of potatoes, mash and add butter and milk

Yum those sound good Amy, I havent seen that Diners Choice brand! We like the idahoan because its cheap, I also like the Simply brand in the refrigerated section, its like a lime green package, super good!

Occasionally I like to top my mashed potatoes with chilli. My favorite way to eat chilli is inside a baked potato toped with cheddar cheese and corn chips...why am I talking about chilli now?😆

I love Dossier! I will definitely be using your discount code. I don't think I had instant mashed potatoes for the first time until I was out of high school. My mom was against them 😂 That said, as an adult I've made them lots of times. For "real" mashed potatoes, I always use red potatoes. Their skin is really thin and tender so you don't have to peel them, which is a big time saver! Also, cut in half and quarter so they cook faster.

I can't stand instant mashed potatoes so I mostly make them from raw potatoes or occasionally buy the premade ones in the refrigerated section. My husband grew up on instant and I think is a little disappointed I don't make instant.

I always make mashed potatoes fresh with actual potatoes. I’ve barely ever had the package and when I did I didn’t like the taste. I think making them is super easy and quick.

I make homemade mashed potatoes in the instant pot! I peel and cut them the day before and leave them in a bowl with water just covering them in the fridge overnight. Put them with 1 cup of broth in the IP for 9 minutes on high pressure. Manual release and then mash and add in another cup or so of broth (eyeball it and add as you mash) along with a stick of DF butter (we are GF and DF due to celiac disease) and salt to taste. Probably takes a total of 20-30 minutes with it coming to pressure beforehand. But it’s hands off and they are so yummy!!! 😋 Thanks for sharing your journey…I found you probably a year ago through Erin’s IG page. 💚

I recently purchased a few perfumes from dossier and got the one you ordered. I have a question for you. Do you feel the scent lasts as long as the Gucci bloom? I feel like it doesnt but its hard to tell when you are the one wearing it. Does that make sense. Just curious.

I totally know what you mean! I can smell any perfume right when I put it on but then at the end of the day I can’t! But Morgan will comment on it at the end of the day so I think we just adjust to the smell of it throughout the day! Same with my car air freshener- I can’t smell it ever but anytime someone new gets in my car they comment on how good it smells!

The flavor boost is from Gainful as well, the company I get my protein from! So their protein comes unflavored then you can add on the packs of flavor boosts when you want to flavor the protein. Personally I like the strawberry one for smoothies and either the cinnamon toast or the sea salt caramel one for my protein coffees!

I use a larger curling barrel like 1.5" and then just take big pieces and curl away from my face on both sides! After they cool I run my fingers through them and thats it!
