Hanne, this couldn't have come at a more perfect time! The last few days I haven't been hungry very much, and I'm used to feeling hungry for every meal and every snack. So when I wasn't feeling hungry when I normally do I have a hard time still eating what I know I should. I've been trying to still follow my meal plan, but I've found it hard. This was super helpful and encouraging! Thanks for this. :)

I know it can be really challenging but, honestly, well done for trying to stick to your meal plan at this time!

Pryvitannie Chanie! (Belarusian) Thanx for the post. Glad you did make something like this because I've always felt like I haven't had an appetite since who knows when (sry if that triggers anyone) and have been having issues now with my health unfortunately but trying to find ways to push myself to eat can be so hard. Thanx for those tips ..lots of ones I've heard and do myself but some that were helpful. It is a great idea to add more condensed foods to avoid more or any bloat/discomfort but that's the thing...the fear of smaller more calorie dense foods had to happen if we are trying to recover...I know now I've been incorporating more of those foods to help me along my journey even when I'm scared...don't get me wrong I make mistakes but I'm doing far better to stick to my rational mindset. And you're so right these foods can be eaten whilst recovery AND after..forever. They aren't recovering foods...I try hard to say that to myself so I don't feel like it's "just for now." Lots of the foods you've shared seemed tasty and nutritional despite them being model perfection (top chef fancy meals). It's really cool to hear that eventually the times to are less do make up for those times later or soon....not like you neeeeeeded to explain that but I guess it's reasuring and good accountability. Hmm...idk but a while back I did noticed that when using an Ed like needing to like the need to exercise tends to escalate to eating less for the next meal..then using more small level movent, to avoiding more food groups, to being strict with day to day 'schedule/routine'...to etc....I do know it's maybe a common thing but it's annoying then you feel like you can see yourself doing it but not (denial). It's soooo hard to stop. I want to not fall into that and I'm worried if I do..any advice on this would be cool..I mean I pretty much know what needs to happen but not haha 🤦 I feel crazy saying it because I can change that then and there but it happens! However, I liked all the recipe inspo, the important advice from your experience, and other bits and bobs... It was pretty funny to see the dog in the background roaming around, back and fourth haha..too cute. Animals are just...the best medicine as well. Hope your stay there was lovely, it seemed like it..cooked meals, vegan take out, chillaxing, pur babies, seeing nice new places...sound great. Love you loads glad I got to watch it a lot sooner this time haha. 👍 🌄 🐾 🥣 🥜 🍈 😵💫🤔🤓💙🙌🥐🚘🏠🥊🎥📒🕠🕖🚩

It’s a beautiful place you’re staying at! Also have you ever thought of publishing a cookbook?

Thank you. You have definently helped me start my recovery (1 month in as of this Tuesday). I had a question though- I have a range of throat and stomach issues that are non-ED related from previous health problems which prevent me from eating non-soft food and I am autistic and can't handle too much flavour. I also have no appetite and the thought of food is making me nauseous and I can never tell when to eat or eat enough when I do because I feel really ill. ig my question is how can i manage these symptoms? and do u have any easy to digest foods u could recommend me? sorry tysm for everything u do ur amazing and have helped me so much. sorry for the inconviece

I obviously don't know your exact situation, and it does differ from mine, so definitely get an expert's opinion too. I do know, however, that some food-related issues may pass if you challenge them sufficiently, so it may be worth trying to push through the feeling of nausea (for example) in order to 'train' your body to handle normal quantities again. If the inability to eat non-soft foods is due to existing issues though, then it's definitely worth eating enough of a variety in the softer foods that you do eat -- bread, pastas, potatoes, etc. It can be really helpful to blend up fruits into a smoothie and to cook some tougher vegetables or blend them into a sauce or into mashed potatoes. That way you do still get everything you need and try out different things (including potential fear foods, if you have any)!
