130g of protein plant based is easy. You already are drinking protein shakes, substitute it for plant based pea protein isolate. Throw is some peanut butter powder with soymilk and that is like 60g of protein for < 400 calories.

Bro, your diet is legit. Its probably 70% of your performance (ok that's arbitrary..lol) but seriously. I ran and hooped in high school and college and a smart diet wasn't a huge focus. Knowing what's healthy, particularly for you, using genetics and your nutrient profiles is work. Recommend kale and broccoli sprouts (you can grow them yourself). I'm a fan, keep doing your thing.

I am about 6'5, 160 pounds, and I am a distance runner. Obviously, I am not a sub 4 miler, but this plant-based vegan diet has helped me be able to run 65 miles a week and feel amazing. I'm sorry vegan didn't work for you, but I am not convinced you exhausted every option if you say you aren't getting enough protein and fat. I eat 1/4 to 1/2 a cup of flaxseed a day and that helps me to get my daily fat needs. I eat so much food that is protein-dense (oats, tofu, beans) that I don't worry a bit about protein. Still nice to see a runner put effort into their nutrition

If you eat meat there’s zero need to supplement b12, I’m vegetarian basically vegan and I don’t take it, also haven’t had red meat in 4 years and I’m not iron deficient or anything.
@povnayeli4 жыл бұрын
why are sweet potatoes so hard to cut though lol? Also I’m vegan and a runner and I have no problem getting in lots of protein. Especially since I eat a lot of beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, tofu, and tempeh everyday! But I also don’t run as much as you do or as intensely and I’m also a girl lol. But your diet looks very healthy and balanced even through you are not vegan! I hope one day you can fully become vegan and look at the ethical and environmental points. But overall I loved the video. :)

El coyote loco on KZbin, doesn’t run professionally now but he’s been vegan for years, lives on fruit and ran a sub14 5k on that diet, running 180mpw. I get why you think you need protein but honestly it’s so overrated, you should focus more on iron and b12 :)

Imagine stopping vegan because 'you can't get enough protein or fat'. 😂😂😂😂Must not know within that every single vegetable contains protein, and the most faty foods such as peanut butter, avocado, oils, are vegan😂😂😂 there isn't a single nutrient in quality or quantity that can't be fund on a vegan diet.

You can get everything you need on a vegan diet and protein too cause i’m 15 yo girl and i get protein avout 70-80 grams a day without thinking about it so if you do it right then vegan diet is the most healthiest and the best thing you can do to your body, but i think veganism isn’t a ”diet” it’s a lifestyle
