On this video, I made a vegetable based meal, meatless recipe for dinner.
If it is too healthy, I will not full. 😹
And I end up snacking, so I tried to make recipes that are satisfying.
I feel not only my body but also my mind is refreshed when I eat a vegetable based meal 💛

▶ABOUT NAMI NO KURASHI
I'm Nami, living alone in Tokyo.
The Japanese pronunciation "Nami" has several meanings.
One Nami is a girl's name, and the other Nami means ordinary.
Naminokurashi(Nami's life) is a combination of these two meanings.
Kurashi means daily life.
I don't have any special skills. My life is ordinary days.
I hope you enjoy my ordinary days!

Nami, I just want to say thank you. I started watching your videos when I moved 1200 miles away from my family for a new job and couldn’t sleep at night from the anxiety back in early 2021. I’m a young working woman in America and you inspire me in many ways. I find myself living more healthy and wholesomely than before and you encourage me to keep strong even when far from home! Wish you all the best

You will find similar ppl to bond with, I had to when young, I moved 3000 miles and started new life, then before I knew it had friends all over the place, they also was transplants, and it's such an exciting time, pls enjoy it, don't be scared. Your life will be enriched by this before you feel need to conformity, you will be admired and wanted for your character, I wish you the best

When I struggle with my mental health, I stop taking care of myself; eating, hygiene, cleaning, you name it. I've been struggling with this for some time. When I watch a Nami video I am reminded what it looks like to care for yourself. Taking the time to prepare delicious and healthy meals, treating your body right with good skin care and exercise, taking yourself on wonderful adventures around Japan, buying flowers for yourself, and many other wonderful things. It makes me want to try to take care of myself again. You encourage me to remember to be kind to myself and make time for myself. Thank you for sharing your time with us, Nami. Sending my love ❤

Speak Up Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven. -Matthew 10:32-33- Near the end of his life, the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy that he had fought the good fight, he had finished the course, and he had kept the faith (see 2 Timothy 4:7) But then a few verses later, he wrote this: “Demas has deserted me because he loves the things of this life and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus has gone to Dalmatia” (2 Timothy 4:10) When things got too difficult for Demas, he quit. He didn’t want to be a follower of Jesus if it required anything of him, if it cost him anything, or if he faced persecution. Jesus spoke of the same dilemma in the parable of the sower, a story in which He compared sowing seed to the gospel going into people’s hearts. He said, “The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word” (Matthew 13:20-21) There are people who, when trouble or persecution comes, fall away. They give up. They deny the Lord. Of course, one way to deny the Lord is to just say, “I don’t know Him.” But another way to deny Him is by not confessing Him, by neglecting to speak up for Him when the opportunity arises. Have you ever been in one of those situations where it almost seemed as though God had set the scene for you to speak up for Him? Everything fell into place. You knew what you needed to say. You knew the right thing to say. But you didn’t say it. You were paralyzed by fear. And you seriously regretted it afterward. Even Peter had a lapse in which he denied the Lord-not once, not twice, but three times. That same Peter went out afterward and wept bitterly. And then he changed. According to church tradition, Peter was put to death on a cross as he hung upside down. He asked to be crucified that way because he said he wasn’t worthy to die in the same manner that his Lord did. Peter wasn’t happy in the state he was in, and God changed him. Maybe you’re thinking, “Actually, I feel a bit ashamed. I haven’t been speaking up for the Lord. I haven’t been confessing Him. I must not be a believer because I have denied Him.” We’ve all had our moments of doubt. And we’ve all had our lapses in which we’ve denied Him. But you can make a change today. You can begin confessing Him as a follower of Jesus. Do people know you’re a Christian? Do your coworkers and your family members know that you’re a follower of Jesus Christ? We need to speak up for the Lord. Our lifestyle, the way that we live, should be evidence of our faith in Christ. Are you speaking up for Him??

I am somehow reassured by this small observation. Because of watching you over the years I see the beauty and joy in simply beginning, that way skill finds you along the way! I am now very motivated to begin trying and allowing myself the grace to just do as I am instead of achieving perfection first!

I enjoyed watching your ideas for meatless and delicious meals so much! When preparing potato salad it comes to mind that in my country we don't peel and cut potato before cooking it but afterwards. The bad part is, that It takes a little bit longer before the unpeeled potato softens, about 20-30 minutes, depends on how big it is. The good part is, that slices of potato stayes firm and doesn't melt into mashed potato. The oil, vinegar, salt, onion and other condiments should be added while potato is stlil warm, for soaking all the aroma. Maybe you can try it too. Have a nice weekend! Greetings from Europe!

Nami, the crumbled tofu veggie patties are a great idea! I am a vegetarian, so I will make them without the egg but will add potato starch and little bit sprinkling of besan (chickpea flour) or rice flour as a binder. Thanks for the inspiration! I love watching your vlogs for the life enjoyment moments! God bless you!
