Can definitely confirm, I'm 32 and back in grad school for my masters, and I can't do all-nighters anymore! Which is basically how I got through undergrad, lol (working full-time through both). I tried a few times in the beginning and I felt exhausted for DAYS after, ugh. I also agree that I just feel like I need to eat more balanced and keep hydrated, like nowadays if I skip a meal my bloodsugar just CRASHES. I don't mind aging at all, I'm grateful for every day and each passing year is a new adventure, but it's definitely a learning curve!

As someone who just turned 33 last weekend I giggled a bit when you said you feel your body’s different 😅 I dealt with serious stomach pain for a decade never knowing what was going on until it put me in the hospital last summer and I finally got answers, it was due to the junk and crap I used to eat as a teenager 😅yes it sucks that I have to only eat certain foods now as an adult but if it keeps me from the constant nightly hospital visits I’ll listen to my body now that I know what’s going on and of course hydrate it extra 😊

Definitely can relate and confirm my body being more demanding as I get older. I also used to be able to spend a whole day at a music festival with only a good breakfast in my stomach, and would only eat (fast food) "dinner" after the last concert was over. For cold weather, I think anything “Comfort food” category, like homemade soup/stew. I live in a warm US climate so it doesn’t get as cold as Korea, but sometimes we can pretend it’s sort of cold. Glad y’all are feeling better. That’s exactly how I felt when I had Covid or even briefly, the reaction to the vaccine. I was actually sicker for the reaction than the actual disease so it must have worked. The flu or any virus can do the same. Being sick is no fun. Glad you recovered quickly. I almost always shop in our downtown (small town) or stores I know and can get things done on one day so that I don’t need to go again anytime soon. Otherwise, I order online. Hate shopping, especially when crowded.

Once I turned 31, my body became super sensitive to a lot of things. Here are some examples 😂: 1) Dehydration: 31 was the first time I actually ended up hospitalized because I passed out and hit my head on the floor due to dehydration. 2) Snacks: I find myself bringing snacks in my bag to places where I know I'd get hangry at. 3) Food cravings : the older I get, the spicier my food gets. It's like you crave foods you didn't like to eat as a kid but you enjoy it now. 4) Espresso: I used to love getting lattes with 4 shots of espresso. Just smelling it now gives me heartburn 😂

I'm 34, and I can tell you that my body speaks to me what I need crystal clear - before my 30s, I don't know why or how, but I managed to survive and feel good hahaha, but as soon as I hit 30, all of the sudden I had to start drinking water regularly (outrageous!), keep up with my vitamin and protein intake, and all that jazz. My favorite winter foods are pumpkin soup (duh), all kinds of soup, and all sorts of hearty stews (we have a lot of stew recipes in Spain). when you speak korean, if even it's just a word or a phrase, you're actually pronouncing it really well and im impressed by it. something im most afraid of when traveling to a whole different country is having to speak a different language and learning the country's currency. if i were to travel to a different country, i can already imagine myself being embarrassed for making a mistake. it scares me but i think that taking a risk out of it and going for it, i can learn, even if i make mistakes. before traveling, i think it's important to find some time just learning about the country you're going to. this include currency, traditions, laws, language, food, etc. number one key.

I really enjoyed your video. It motivated me to go back to studying for my virology test on Tuesday. In this regard, take care and take it slow when you're sick. These little viruses, bacteria etc. can be really nasty. So take a break and rest for as long as you need. We all understand, if you cannot film. I hope your feeling well now. ❤ Also my favourite winter dish is probably romanian "Sarmale". My grandma/mother always make them for Christmas and they're soo good. It's rice and minced meet (for me usually soy, cause I am vegetarian) rolled in pickled cabbage or grape leaves and cooked tomato sauce (with onion, thyme...). Then we usually serve them with sour cream and polenta. I'm not sure if you can find all these ingredients in Korea, but if you do and you wanna try something new, you definitely should try them. They're so tasty.

Had to pause the video to say that yes, as a fellow person in their early 30s, the body is indeed more demanding, haha. That’s a great way to phrase it. You gotta be more mindful of what you eat, how much of it, be more careful with your body. Definitely keep active if you can! You’ll learn stuff like “oh my body doesn’t like doing that for more than five minutes now” ✌️.

When I definitely just throw those rice bowls into a pot of boiling water for a couple of minutes because I don't have a microwave, either... literally everything goes either in a pot of boiling water or in a hot frying pan because I have one burner and an electric kettle.

cream soups are the best comfort food in the winten time for me you can just toss everything in the oven and then to the blender with some chicken/veggie broth or even double cream and it is perfect 👌🏼

I am now 31 and I used to do stuff like that but I’ve always faced consequences for it 😂 I fainted at a walkmen show when I was 20 from not drinking water/eating enough leading up to it. I do notice now that my joints sometimes ache and my body hurts from sitting in one position too long.

Omg. For me, the age of discomfort started at 50 on the dot. I used to ride half-trained horses and have spectacular, heart-stopping falls from off these galloping maniacs. It is ALL catching up. Walking is becoming very uncomfortable. Riding is almost impossible, though I still do it. And you are right, if I don't eat right or get enough water, my body lets me know in no uncertain terms that it is not pleased. . . . ( Banchan is awesome! )

Considering the sheer amount of food you're around in your videos, I can't believe you're not a walking butterball! Is Korean food non-fattening? But then, you ARE a black belt master at food. I think you're the first woman I've ever heard say she not only hates shopping, but hates shopping for shoes! That was the first indicator that you were coming down with something. Glad you're better now. I've learned that if you don't get your comment in within the first couple of hours of you posting a video, the window of opportunity of you seeing it is gone. I posted this in your last video last week, but I posted it too late. It still works for this video too. Here it is: This was a very interesting video. It's obvious that you have a lot of things going on inside of you, and all that energy needs channels to express itself through. You're not really alone though; you have us with you since we're on your mind as you think about what to record, write about, edit, etc. I've come to the conclusion that you are actually a romantic in concept, but you're not a big fan of the obligation of it. You're sampling a multitude of things all the time, so getting tied down to one particular thing would be burdensome, even if you like the initial experience of it. I think you've stayed with doing vlogs as long as you have because it's a way to channel a lot of other things you touch on, absorb and do. You're very much a creative, and creatives have the endless desire to explore and express creativity. For someone who has a lot going on inside, time alone is maintenance/organizing time. It allows you to organize and clean up the mess of thoughts, ideas, and everything else going on inside, and prioritize what you want to focus on. There are times when you feel totally out-of-sync, and don't know what to do with yourself, and there are other times when there's just not enough time in the day to get to all you want to do. It's important to get a handle on that and not let it tear you apart. I'm at the age where I've experienced a lot of things, and lost a lot of things over the years. I've realized that life is just a stream of moments, then they're gone. The transitory nature of that makes it difficult to feel any kind of enduring contentment. Early on in my life, I found myself yearning for stability, for something solid to ground myself on so I could cope with the winds and challenges of life. I found that in God; or I guess more accurately he found me. God is the only thing that has always been, will always be, and never changes. This has nothing to do with religion, which are just forms of government. All religions are organizations by men for the purposes of power and control. God is unique. There is nothing else like him. He is the author of all things beautiful, creative, wonderful. To walk with God in your life, is to be an apprentice on a journey of discovery, learning and growth. The beauty of his love is so calming, so stabilizing, that I can't imagine trying to live without it; especially in a world where everything is constantly churning and changing, and no matter what you do, the best you can come away with is memories of moments. God is life; his love is life. Once you choose that, it changes you and enables you to see everything with different eyes. You're on a journey Cari. You instinctively know what the right direction is, yet the darkness pulls at you, trying to seduce with the thrill of unbalanced, reckless power. When it pulls on you and you indulge it, you don't feel right and you know you need to get away from it. It's taken you down some dark roads; roads you've regretted taking. The pathway to the light of God's love is straight and narrow, and it goes up; you have to climb it. You like to hike, walk and climb however, so it's something you're already inclined to do; you just have to do it inwardly. The view from the heights is magnificent. The higher you go, the fewer there are with you, but you like to be alone so that shouldn't hinder you. There is however one very important individual who will be with you always on the journey, and his companionship makes the journey ever more beautiful, because the farther you go, the more of him you gain; which is the indescribable beauty of God's love, the treasure of heaven. The one outstanding difference I've noticed as I've climbed the path, is that it's not transitory. It's not a stream of passing moments; it's a steady feed that builds and fulfills you. You gain and grow inwardly as you climb. The atmosphere at the heights is purer, cleaner, especially compared to the winds of animosity that are constantly blowing across the lands down below. There's something about you Cari, that keeps me and others coming back to your channel. My prayers are for you, that God will guide your feet to the straight and narrow path, because I know you would find it to have everything you need and long for. I can only imagine how you would document that journey. It would be a vlog like no other.

Shoes that my grumpy, moderate arches like(non-athletic moi): Brooks, ON Cloud (Swift), New Balance, Alegria (Debra x3, Shayne boots...hot swappable insoles). I work standing 8hrs/day. I've heard good things about hikers by Keen and Merrell. My house shoes(all 3) are Birkenstock EVA Arizona. Super soothing after work. Peace!
