thank you!! I hate when somebody points out lack of protein or whatever else in one of my meals. We can't be perfect all the time, steve. Sometimes eating a bunch of potatoes is the best I can do for a meal when I'm tired physically and mentally

You only need about 0.8g/kg of healthy body weight. This equates to 47g for a 130lb person. And some of the best studies show this is around the "ideal" amount. Yes, body builders, athletes and old people need more. But I'm not one of those people, most of us aren't (:

You really have to try smoked carrot-salmon 🌱😊This would match your sandwiches so well. I tried a few recipes and created my own I would love to share with you 💚 * 2-3 large carrots * 2 tbsp. soy sauce * 1 tbsp. maple sirup * 3 tbsp. olive oil (or any other neutral plant oil) * 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar * little bit of liquid smoke or smoked salt (not absolutely necessary but adds a lot to the taste) * salt + pepper to taste Peel the carrots and cut them via the long side into approx. 2-4 mm thick slices. I would recommend using a kitchen slicer or a peeler but it should also work by hand. Boil or steam cook the carrot slices until they're soft and salmon-y consistency. Mix the other ingredients in a flat container and place the hot carrot slices in the marinade. They should set at least for 6 hours but the longer the better. I always leave mine in the fridge over night. If possible gently stir them once in a while to make sure every last bit gets in touch with the marinade. We enjoy the carrot-salmon on bread or bagels with vegan cream cheese and dill, on sandwiches or in wraps. You should also try it with home-made sushi on nigiri or by cutting the carrots in sticks you could also put it into maki. Hope you and your community might enjoy it 😊 Sending lovely vegan greeting from Germany 💚

I love what you said in your intro. Having a 1 year old and being pregnant again I feel so guilty when we buy take out foods but I realized if you’re making it your goal to get in nutritious foods it’s ok if you don’t feel like doing it 100% of the time. Our minds need breaks too. Love your videos 🤍

For a young woman you have a lot of insight in life said from a woman in her sixties. The words you say about listening to your body and not going by rules alone ( mind you ,rules that change yearly) is a life changer. A healthy mind body and soul, is the balance to strive for. Thank you for your excellent videos. I am a new vegan and your cooking has been a great tutorial. 😊

Thanks Julia! On day 1 of my period today and I always struggle with my ED during this time... thank you for giving me permission to give my body what it needs.

Oh sweety, you and me both! Something that helps me is telling myself, that my body isn't working against me, but is just doing what it is meant to be doing... aka I try and see it as a fellow sufferer, who also would much rather not have to have to go through a few painful days. So I take care of it, because it also isn't feeling at its' best... (My ED often comes up with thoughts such as "periods are a sign of xyz..., you're body is trying to show that ... (don't want to trigger anybody which is why I am not writing everything)"). Does this even make sense?! :) Anyways... here to say, that you can do it and I am proud!

ur low-key my fav vegan food vlogger ( or whatever u call it) out there! maybe bc we have the same savory over sweet verdict or how wholesome and colorful ur dishes are (which should be) or bc u don't do vegan alternatives like cheese, meat or mayo that go overboard like in other people's. bc for me the beauty of veganism lies on the different meals that you can make that are filling, colorful and ofc delicious... cz is it jus me or eating whole food meals taste and feels better eating?

A meal is something that fills you up, and nourishes your body. Having a family pack of lays fills you up, but doesn't nourish you, potato chips are snacks, and snacks are supposed to keep you satisfied both on the psychical, as well as mental aspect. A meal is supposed to give you psychical strength, that's why we're grown up being told to ''eat your veggies''. Vegetables are packed with vitamins and minerals, they nourish your body, and whether you want to eat it or not, it is essential to your meal, otherwise you're not eating properly. - dietician
