Your video was very helpful....you made your meals simply without a lot of thought. I like that especially when I am rushed to get something on the table. I know on the weekends I can cook more elaborate meals, but to stay on the program this was great!

I love your video! Gave me some great ideas on what to make and it pumped me up to be able to do this plan even when I'm traveling, thanks for making it!

Thanks for sharing your meal prep... I think it's the hardest part! My awesome wife did 5 hours of freezer meal prep yesterday! Stoked to dive into Whole30 (just started!) and looking forward to redefining my relationship with food (and losing a few pounds too!)! I just posted my first VLOG with my starting measurements and pics to track my progress and share the journey! Kind of embarrassing putting it all out there, but I'm excited to get moving! I just subscribed and look forward to checking back in on your channel for tips, inspiration, and hopefully some new uploads! :) Much love.

Definitely helpful. How are you doing now since this is an old video. I love snacks so any ideas on that other than blueberries

The only long-term habit I obtained from the Whole30 was cooking more. Since the Whole30, I've tried intermittent fasting too but wasn't able to keep that up for more than one week. I'm thinking of making a video soon about what I'm currently trying to build healthy eating habits.

Great video. Clear and simple ideas for recipes. What type of oil do you use for pan fried food and roasted vegetable? Thank you.

Karen, was it difficult at first not being able to eat rice and pasta? Do you still feel energized even after eating those lunches rather than having that "post lunch digestion crash"?
@definitionofnormal9 жыл бұрын
+tatcoeur Nope! It was surprisingly a lot easier than I thought it would be. The biggest thing I miss is ice cream. I used to always be tired at work but I have so much more energy now than I did before. Once the 30 days are up, I might do another video on reintroducing different foods (rice, milk, bread) and what the results are.

How did you prepare the steak? Looks soooo yummy
@definitionofnormal6 жыл бұрын
I'll try to make a video next time I make it but it's super easy! Season both sides generously with salt/pepper/whatever seasoning you like and let it rest at room temperature for around 20-30 min: Oil a pan at medium-high heat and fry each side, flipping the steak once (times may vary depending on how thick the steak is): - 2-3 min each side for rare - 4 min for medium - 5-6 min for well-done I use tongs because it makes it easier to flip. Let the steak rest for at least 5 minutes after you take it out of the pan before cutting. Then, cut vertically against the grain.

Can eat out in Whole30?
@MrLJolley068 жыл бұрын
Were the recipes easy or hard? Did you notice a difference in your energy levels? And would you recommend this to beginner cooks? God bless.
@definitionofnormal8 жыл бұрын
+MrLJolley06 +MrLJolley06 Cooking wasn't too hard - you just have to stock up on meats and vegetables every week. I definitely had an increase in energy but I found that I felt sadder after eliminating sugar. I would recommend it to beginner cooks because I was one too before and found that I love to cook through the Whole30! @definitionofnormal6 жыл бұрын
It makes sense that people think eggs are dairy because they're in the dairy aisle but they're not. Dairy comes from milk-producing animals and eggs come from chickens
